Part #4

As the conversation veered toward wedding plans, I found myself fumbling for words, distracted by the intensity of Kyrin's presence. His eyes seemed to hold secrets, and I couldn't help but wonder what lay beneath the surface of his composed demeanor.

Ma Myla, sensing my distraction, nudged me gently, bringing me back to reality. "Raj, dear, are you alright?" she asked, concern evident in her voice.

I blinked, realizing I had zoned out. "Yes, yes, I'm fine," I replied quickly, forcing a smile. "Just lost in thought for a moment there."

Kyrin's lips curved into a knowing smile, and I felt a flush creep up my cheeks. Was he aware of the effect he had on me? I couldn't be sure, but the subtle amusement in his eyes suggested he might be.

As the evening wore on, I found myself drawn to Kyrin's side, engaging in light conversation while trying to suppress the swirling emotions within me. His presence was magnetic, and I couldn't deny the growing attraction I felt towards him, despite the circumstances of our meeting.

When the time came to bid farewell, I hesitated, reluctant to part ways with Kyrin just yet. "It was lovely meeting you all," I said, lingering by the door.

Kyrin stepped closer, his gaze unwavering. "I look forward to getting to know you better, Raj," he said, his voice low and intimate.

A shiver ran down my spine at his words, and I couldn't help but return his gaze with a newfound sense of anticipation. Perhaps this arranged marriage wouldn't be so bad after all.
