Guilt

Swallowed my tears
I was too late
I have this horrible feeling
I learned that on my own
Something is out of our hands
But that doesn't change the memories
The pain
Eating me alive
I wash my hands until they are bright red
No more tears to cry
Scenes replay as a movie
Afraid to touch the glass
Can shatter anything I touch
Walking slightly on water
Looking behind me
Wanting to be alone
Avoiding the guilt
Not wanting to make another mistake
Breathing becomes harder
When the guilt comes back
It was a mistake I was too young
I'll take it back in a heartbeat
No more being young
Growing up
But the guilt eases
The more I try to fight the feeling
It never leaves
Only be remind
the guilt eating me up
