Running in the night

Shining metals came to eat my skin.

Dodging them was an option, but one I chose against. Running head on, I felt the bullets bounce off my barrier, unable to even slow me down.

Yet, they didn't stop. The sound of gunshots erased the presence of nature around. Switching the cries of insects and owls for the shouts of burning gunpowder.

"Why don't you die!" Shouted one of the robbed men.

"I believe the fact that your bullets are not even reaching my skin to be a big reason of 'why'" I mocked them, walking at a slow pace towards them.

The pleasant sound of empty chambers reached my ears like a song of victory. The moment they tried to reload, I threw a ball of clouds on their hands. The ball exploded and grew too quickly for them to react, covering them like the black balls from the Incredibles movie.

After their screams became muffled noises, I sent them up, joining them in a big cloud with their friends.

"I believe that's all of them, right?" I asked one of my partners that night.

Coming out of the shadows of trees was Roman Torchwick, the greatest detective of Vale. Beside him was his ever loyal assistant, Neopolitan, using aura to write in the air:

"You didn't have to catch all of them " was written.

"No, but it was a fun hunt" I laughed, walking to them. "When will the cops arrive?"

"In a few minutes more than they should" commented the man, sighing. From a pocket he took a lollipop, placing it in his mouth. "It seems that we are the only ones doing our jog recently."

"If that many already got in, I can see that sending those four early was more helpful than what I planned" I said, looking at the big cloud of enemies above.

"Will the plan change?" Neo asked, the letters changing colors like her eyes.

"No, it will not" I answered while looking at her ", but we will need to keep our eyes open."

She nodded, looking up.

Roman took his phone out, looking for something before a laugh escaped his mouth.

"You should look at our group chat, boss" he said, while reading.

Me and Neo took our phones and searched. The "Suns" group had some messages. Reading them, we discovered it was about an attack in the Junior's Club. Yang attack.

"It seems that the timeline is the same on that point" I commented, putting it back in my pocked before taking my scroll and searching for any news related to that. "Also seems that no one is talking about it for now at least."

"If is the same events from the story are appearing, do we need to worry about little red?" Asked Roman.

I thought about it many times, but no matter what happened, I knew that Rubi needed to have a fight on that part of town. With this new threat on the streets, the teachers are doing more patrols and we needed at least one of them to see her fighting. It would be best to be Glynda like in the show, but too many variables already changed, like those two in front of me.

"Let's keep the plan as it is. After giving those guys to the blue caps, go help Junior and the girls" I said, lowering the cloud cluster.

"Where are you going now?" Asked Neo.

"There is somethings I need to confirm. We will meet later at home to discuss our plans."

They nodded, watching walk between them. As I did, I took a small box hidden on Roman clothes, wavering at him.

"You will not quit this if you just follow my advices while I am near!" I laughed, hearing him grunting.

Reaching a clearing, I could see the broken moon above. It's fragments looking even more menacing than I remembered. Not letting it distract me more, I returned to my journey to the next point.

"I can't believe everything is already happening after some hours of my arrival... I wanted to have break for at least today!"
