Everything's quiet.

There are no sounds that could disturb the moment.

The surroundings are nothing different. As usual, there is a warm blanket over his shoulders.

He is sitting on the ground of the living room, a red pen between his fingers, giving some colors to his black and white sketch.

A little smile across his face, his tongue out, in his absolutely concentrated mode.

Suddenly, a sound breaks the silence.

He hears the thunder rumbling. He turns to face the big window of the room. A lightning bolt crosses the sky, reflecting in his eyes. It startled him.

The rain falls even harder, crashing on the window. He hears another flash, which blows the current.

He finds himself in the dark, and strongly closes his eyes, wishing to make noises disappear.

He hated the rain.

.~~.~~.~~.~~.

"How come you don't like the rain ? I love it !"

A wavy brown-haired boy was holding an umbrella for another boy, smiling brightly. The other boy was wrapped up in a big blue scarf, covering his whole head, looking beyond nervous.

"Well... I don't hate it but seriously ! Why does it have to rain THAT much when I just got my new hair color doooone ?"

It was the last weekend of June and the shopping street they crossed was quite crowded despite the rainy weather in Seoul.

The two boys had received two weeks earlier the results of the year they had spent in a school made to train for entrance exams of prestigious schools.

The boy in the scarf pouted.

"Why does it have to be so flashy though ? And I told her to only cut the ends ! I should have just got a perm like you, it's so unfaaaaiiir."

"You said hair color ! It's not my fault you lost your own bet."

One day before they got their results, the boy with the scarf made a bet : the one with the lowest score would have to dye his hair in his favorite color.

Well, he got the fewest points.

He faked a cry, making the umbrella bearer laugh. The latter puts a hand on his friend's shoulder.

"Come on, it's not that bad, 'Lix ! Plus, the rain won't make the color disappear. It was made for all the weather, dumbshine."

They completed their year and here they were, two weeks later, just coming out of the barbershop on the only rainy day of the month. And in addition, on the Saturday just before an entrance contest for a school which had selected their application a month ago.

"You talk like you're waterproof."

"What if I am ?" The boy looked confident, bombing his chest with a grin.

Felix laughed at his behavior.

"Well you're not."

His friend stops his walk, having Felix following him 'cause well, he holds the umbrella. The boy looks at him, a challenged and amused smirk on his face.

"Wanna bet ?"

"I-"

And before Felix could finish his sentence, his friend ran away, bringing the umbrella with him, making his eyes go wide. He didn't care that they were in the street, Felix started chasing him, shouting like his life depended on it.
