ᴡᴇʟᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴛᴏ sᴜɴɴʏsɪᴅᴇ!

So before you read, please read this
I just want to apologize in advance
The mental illnesses that will be described in this story are based on research that I find (and I'm still doing research)
So I deeply apologize if I offend anyone and if I misunderstand or get something wrong, I'll do my very best to make it as accurate as possible (please correct me if I get anything wrong or if I'm missing anything)

"Come on boys! It will only be a little while, then you'll be back home in no time" Venus' mother said, trying to get them look at the "Sunny side of things" Venus swears he'll lose it if he hears that pun one more time. Venus felt Earth tab his shoulder, he turned his head to face him.

"Are they serious? Do they really think sending us away to some random place is going to solve anything?" Earth whispered to Venus. They both glance over at their parents, father was driving, while mother was talking to him about something. Venus shrugged "I don't know, but you got to be pretty fucking stupid to believe something like this... It all seems too good to be true if you ask me" Venus admitted as he looked back over at Earth. Earth let out a heavy sigh and looked back out the car window.

It was quiet for the rest of the drive

After what seemed like an eternity, they pulled into the parking lot of Sunnyside. Venus observed the building, it was a pretty big building, looked almost like a high school. It was painted in bright colors and had about three stories. It was one of those fancy looking buildings.

Venus stepped out of the car, he took another glance at the building before walking over to the trunk to get his back pack. After he grabbed it his mother chimed in "You boys ready?" She asked as she approached the two. Venus glanced over at Earth, who had just closed the truth or after grabbing his bag. Venus shifted his gaze back to his mother, he sighed "Yeah, I guess.."

Once they stepped inside, Venus was hit with the strong scent of oranges. It was a little too strong if you asked him but he didn't really seem to care. He looked around the lobby. The walls were orange and one of the walls had s huge painting, that covered the whole wall, of a sun setting in the hills. The painting had the words "Welcome to SunnySide!" written at the top in big white letters. There were chair near the West wall and the reception desk was in the center of the room.

His parents walk over to the front desk, probably to check them in. Venus continues to look around the lobby. His gaze eventually falls into some pictures that were hung up on one of the walls. There wasn't really anything interesting about the pictures so Venus didn't much mind to them. He runs a hand through his hair as his thoughts eventually drift. He doesn't want to be here. He doesn't need to be here. There's nothing wrong with him. He groans and walks over to the chairs, where Earth already was, and takes a seat next to Earth.

"This place doesn't look all bad.." Earth commented in a soft tone. Venus shot him a glare and exhaled sharply. He put his heads into his hands as he tried to think of some else. He knows Earth was trying to cheer him up but no amount of cheering up is going to help him.

He had a gut feeling something was wrong about this place. The fear still lingered in the back of his mind.

Soon the silence was cut by a voice "Hm.. Venus and Earth?" Their tone was gentle. Venus lifted his head up from his hands and examined the person standing in front of them. It was a somewhat tall, slim man, their tan hair rested neatly on their head, it look almost like a cloud. Their gentle blue eyes stared back at them. Venus shifted his gaze down to their name tag on their uniform "Saturn" hm.. Not a bad name, Venus thought.

"Yeah, that's us" Earth spoke up, his voice quiet as be looked up at the man. "My name is Saturn! Please follow me, I'll show you around and then I'll lead you to your room" they spoke softly. Venus and Earth exchanged a look then got up, Venus grabbed his bag.

Before they could follow the man, their parents made sure to day goodbye, their mother each giving them a small kiss on the forehead and their father gave them a small hug. Then they left. They did say they'd be back to visit on Tuesday, when visitors are allowed to come.

Saturn lead them out of the lobby and through a pair of double doors. They walk out into the atrium. The size of it was pretty big and there was some people and staff already out there doing their own thing. It looked pretty close to a mall, the walls were the same orange color as the lobby. There was a skylight dome at the top of the atrium. The sunlight spilled into the atrium, it looked pretty. Venus looked up at the two other floors, they had a railing and the floors had doors lined up the wall.

"This, my fellow friends" Saturn started "This is the main atrium, here is where you guys can hang out with the other kids!" Saturn explained. Venus looked at the other people, they seemed happy. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary but Venus just couldn't shake the feeling that something is off. "The cafeteria is down that way" Saturn gestured to a double door and a sign above it read "Cafeteria" and there were some smiley faces next to the sign.

After Saturn fi ished showing them them around, he lead them up the stairs to the third floor. They walked down down the walkway and eventually stopped in front of a door. "This will be your guys' room! The rooms can hold up to four people, so there should be plenty of room!" Saturn chirped "uhm.. Thanks, Saturn.." Venus said in a raspy whisper, he looked at Earth who was looking down at the main floor from the balcony. "Well, I should get going. Please let anyone of the staff know if you need anything! And have a sunny day!" Saturn waved goodbye and walked off.

Venus forced a smile and when Saturn was out of sight, he let out soft groan. He hated those fucking sun puns. Earth eventually walked over to the door, there was a clipboard on the door. "Hey ,Venus?" "Yeah?" "Look at this"

Venus looked puzzled and walked over to the door. He looked down at the clipboard. It read:

Venus brows furrowed. Room residents? Looks like they'll have some roommates. Hopefully they won't be too bad...

Venus opened the door and stepped inside. The room was pretty spacious. There were two bunk bed on both sides of the room. There was a nightstand between the beds, right under the window and a door off to the side to what Venus assumed, was the restroom. "Oh, look, Mars! New friends!" And voice chirped. Venus turned his attention to the source of the voice, sitting on on of the bunk beds, the bottom bunk, was two boys playing a game of UNO. The smaller one waved as he had a cheerful look on his face, the other waved and got up and walked over to them.

"You must be Earth and Venus.. Correct?" They asked. "Yes.. Yes we are" Earth said. "Nice to meet toy two, my name is Mars and that one over there is Mercury" Mars gestured to the smaller boy who was shuffling the deck of UNO cards.

Mars was probably just a few inches shorter than Venus. He had orange, reddish hair and a small, faint scar on his cheek. He had a black hoodie on and some jeans. Venus the turned his attention to the smaller boy, Mercury. Mercury was shorter than the rest of them and had a small petite build. He had a light-yellow sweater on and a pair of shorts. His hair was a tan with streaks of a slightly darker brown. His hair looked messy and unkept.

"Well, it's nice to meet you both" Venus said in a somewhat gentle tone.

Mars gave a small smile "You guys can claim either one of the bunks on that side" Mars stated as he pointed at the opposite side if the room. Before Venus even had a chance, Earth ran up to the bunk bed and threw his bag on the top bunk. "I call top bunk!" Earth said as he had a large grin on his face. Venus scoffed "I didn't even get a chance to choose-" "Well, you snooze you loose" Earth teased. Venus let out a content side and walked to the other bunk.

Maybe this won't be as bad as he thought...
