Elizabeth awoke, startled, she was drenched in sweat. She took a moment to compose herself, sitting up in her bed as the velvet-red blanket covered her stomach below.
Her arms supported her as she sat up, her head down as her breathing grew heavy.

The moonlit sky had brought some light into her room, the curtains wide open, the window covered with frost, and some snow on the outside of the window sill.

Elizabeth sighed quietly, pulling up the blanket to drape over her shoulders to seek warmth during the horrid winter freeze.

"That dream..." She murmured to herself, her breath echoing in her room. "W-why did it feel so real?" She shook her head and tried to push her thoughts about the dream away.

Elizabeth raised her head, staring at the grandfather clock by the windows.
The hands on the clock weren't moving.

"Oh. It's broken. Right." She whispered swung her feet over the edge of her bed and moved.
Her feet hit the ground with a quiet thud as she pushed herself out of bed.

Her white and lavish green-striped nightgown fell to her ankles, her shoulders showing as the collar of her nightgown ended right below her collarbone.

Elizabeth's footsteps echoed through her room as she now stood in front of her bedroom door.
She reached out, her hand grasping the loose doorknob and she twisted it.

The warmth breeze of the fireplace in the small living room faced her, it made her shiver even though it was warm.

She stepped out of her bedroom and walked to the living room to check the time on the clock since the one in her bedroom had stopped working.
She had meant to fix it but got sidetracked because of her babysitting.

Those kids were handfuls to their parents, and sometimes to Elizabeth but for the most part they listened to her and sometimes surprised visited her with pies the kids and parents made.
It was adorable to Elizabeth.

Elizabeth stepped in front of the clock by the window and tapped it lightly.
The hands didn't move. "Oh... When did this one stop working?" She asked herself.

A quiet sigh escaped her lips as her eyes gazed upon the stars in the sky.
Oh, how beautiful the stars are tonight.
The moonlight shines against the snow, glistening like moonlight hitting the water.

"I wished something... exciting, like-like an adventure, somewhere where I could get out of Dungar..." She said to herself.

Maybe one day, she could get away from babysitting and leave Dungar for some time. Just when, exactly?
