As tears poured down my face,
I reluctantly accepted my unfortunate fate
That I would have to say goodbye
To the man I have loved my whole life
For so long I held on
Holding onto hope with every breath
He was the one I thought
Was destined to become my end
But now that time has passed
And the reality hits so deep
I realize I must let go
Cause I'm not the one he seeks
As I move forward,
I will hold onto hope of a fresh start
With the knowledge that the right one will come,
There I will no longer beg, will no longer be dumb
I've been desperate to see his face before
But now it's different, it's time to move on
Because from the memories of a charming prince,
Now he's just a past that haunts me every minute

I move forward with hope and optimism
