Script 20: Heart out

"Ignore her, she's being a little shit right now." Chaewon mumbles and the poor boy can only sigh as he picks up his spoon.

"What happened to you?"

"Hangover." Suddenly, Soobin came out of nowhere with two glasses of water in hand. He sits beside Wonyoung but sets the water beside Sunghoon before he sits down. "He thought testing his limit would be a good idea."

Chaewon snorts while Wonyoung scoffs.

"I know, that's literally how I reacted when he told me he wanted to test his limit last night." Soobin jokingly rolls his eyes as Sunghoon huffs before aggressively taking another bite of his food.

"If you thought it was such a stupid idea, why didn't you stop me?"

"You know, I would have stopped you any other day, but I had already downed like fifteen shots last night. You think the amount of alcohol in my system would make me act all sober?" Sunghoon only squints his eyes towards the other boy before grumbling and eating his breakfast.

Soobin chuckles before turning his attention towards the two other girls. "What about you, Chae? Where were you last night?"

There it was. The question that Chaewon was dreading to hear. This was literally the second time she disappeared from her friends. She was just with them before Yunjin pulled her away from there.

Why did she always have to disappear with Yunjin anyway??

Why did it always have to be with Yunjin? She could feel herself wincing at the thought of explaining where she was last night and how she got back to the hotel room.

Maybe she can lie her way out of this.

"What? Answer the kind man, Chaewon." Wonyoung teased as if she already knew where Chaewon was last night.

The older girl scoffs when Soobin stares at her with a knowing look, but at the same time, he looks confused and curious.

"What? I just got bored halfway, went to our room, and slept." This wasn't really far from the truth. She did get bored halfway through and was planning on leaving her friends to sober up in their room until that random dude from another academy came up to her, trying to shoot his shot.

Remembering that boy irritated Chaewon. He was so pushy, too. As if he thought he had a chance with her. Maybe Chaewon should have been more aggressive in showing him that she wasn't interested, but she wasn't completely sober. She couldn't act the way she wanted to, even if she tried.

"Uh huh..." Wonyoung raised her eyebrows at her, "Sure, but I don't think Yunjin would appreciate you erasing her from the story because I could have sworn I had read a note written by Yunjin earlier."

Fuck. She totally forgot about the note that Yunjin so carelessly taped on the bedside table with the water and the medicine.

Chaewon had immediately closed her eyes tightly. She knew there was no way she would be able to save herself from this.

She heard Soobin laughing while Wonyoung had a massive smirk on her lips. The older girl was quick to shoot a glare her way. "You cocky little-"

As if on cue, her phone lit up and even made a dinging sound, notifying her of a message. They all stared at her phone's screen, and Chaewon wanted nothing but to throw it away.

It was Yunjin.

Why did Yunjin have to send her a text at this time??

Upon reading Yunjin's name on the screen, she quickly took her phone and shoved it down her pocket.
