Meeting the family

He pulled over we got out he opened the door introduced me to his parents and little brother

"Nice to meet you Vanesa"his mother said smiling

"Nice to meet you darling you can call me jeff"his father said

"Hi I'm jax"his 6 years old brother said smiling

"Well we gotta go to my room and do homework"joey said leading the way to the stairs

"You're family is very nice"i said smiling

"Well I bet your family is way better"joey said with a half smile

We got to his room I sat on his bed getting the books and papers but I couldn't help to notice that he had maps all over his walls

"Hey why do you have maps all over your walls?"

"Well..uh..when my pops was in the war he would send me maps to where he'd be and...well..uh he passed away and ever since then I hadn't taken them down"

"I'm so sorry i.." I was interrupted

"No it's okay,thats why I have them on my wall so whenever someone asks I tell them"he said staring right into my eyes

We talked for hours trying to get to know each other he was real sweet with dreamy eyes and cute voice I'm happy I met him

"Say why do you have two of the same necklaces?" He asked in confusion

"Well....one of them was my dads he was in the army and....um..he passed away and ever since that day I started wearing his it makes me feel safe and like if we're still connected stupid huh"

"No no not at all Vanesa its not I find it adorable"he said smiling

We looked straight into each other's eyes he slowly leaned in just about to kiss me but the phone rang which made us jump

"Hello"he said answering the phone
But then hung up

"Who was it?"
"Who knows they just hung up"joey said
"Oh well I should get going"

He grabbed my hand and said "Vanesa wait I just...um wanted to know if you would like to go to the movies with me Friday"he said with a cracking voice

I smiled and said "yes joey"

He smiled back and said "I'll tell you more tomorrow let me drive you home"
