I woke up by a banging, coming from downstairs. Undertaker was holding me from behind, snoring lightly. Trying to get out of his death grip is quite a challenge. However it was, that person didn't seem to be in a hurry, ask the banging started to get louder. Once out of Unnie's warm arms, I checked the time, "Oh no...he is back."
There is no way that I would go down there by myself.
I woke up the mortician. Giving him a sweet smile, while he drooled a little...opening his eyes, "Good morning my dear."
I greeted him back, "It isn't a good one...the nightmare is back."
"Indeed."
For Sebastian was it no surprise as Undertaker approached him. Not even while I stuck like glue on his leg. Instead of greeting him, I whined at the mortician, "Don't give me back to the bad butler!"
The demon had to control himself, bowing down, "It is nice to see you two my dear wife. May we go now?" I shook my head no. Like a little kid, I grabbed on to Unnie's leg for dear life. The butler tired to pull me off. Unlike us, Undertaker finds this hilarious. He couldn't stop him, but at least he had something to laugh at. Once I was off his leg, Sebastian threw me over his shoulder and excused himself. The mortician had to watch, as this demon took his precious human out the door.
Undertaker didn't even bother to come out of the shop.
I watched through the coach window, as we left the busy streets of London. To keep myself from crying, I went through my bag Unnie arranged. Inside was the doll version from him, a little bag of bone-shaped cookies and the card from the stranger. Cuddling with the doll, I ate the sweets away. I feared of what might happen once we arrive. Will he hurt me? Force me to something? Torture me for everything? The more questions come up, the more I wish we never get there.
Too bad...the trip didn't last long.
I jumped at the sound of the creaking door. The butler held his hand up for me to grab on to. Not to make it worse, I obeyed. For now, he was alright. Once in his room, he placed my bag on to the bed and headed towards me. Out of instinct, I closed my eyes, waiting for the beating.
I tensed up, as two arms were wrapped around me. He was hugging me tenderly, while his lips kissed my ear, "I am glad that you are back."
Is he serious?!
Even as he released me, the butler didn't make a move. His eyes were inspecting me, while his gloved hand was on his lips, "Hmmm...I am sure that there is a maid outfit for you somewhere." My voice was trembling, "I like that look." "You are a staff member of the Phantomhive manor and not of a mortician." His eyes darkened at the sight of the doll, "It is bad enough that you possess a miniature figure of him." He gave me instructions on what chores I had to do today. Before he left I called out to him. Surprised that I said his name, he turned around, "Yes?"
"Last night came a man into the shop. He invited us" going through my bag, I handed the butler the card. Sebastian's voice turned dangerous, "What you tell him?" "I said...I...ask my husband first." The butler raised his arm towards me. Shutting my eyes tight, I feared the worst.
"Good girl" he said, touching my cheek tenderly.
Before he left, he ordered me to stay. I can start once I get my uniform. Not that it bothers anyone, except Sebastian, he hates the smell of the reaper on me, "And tonight you will take a bath." In the meantime he need to discuss this invitation with his young Lord.
