Chapter - 53

Lan Wangji woke up after few hours. It still had a few hours for sun to set. He sat up and looked around to only see Wei Wuxian sitting on the window , bending his one knee , leaning on the sideways, playing with his flute.

He got out and sat on table , pouring water for himself while calling Wei Wuxian.

" Wei Ying "

Wei Wuxian had sensed the movement. He was about to turned around but then he heard Lan Wangji.

" You woke up . " Wei Wuxian said , turning his face to Lan Wangji.

" Mn " Lan Wangji looked outside the window, estimating the time.

" Still has time. " Lan Wangji said.

" Yeah ."

" Lan Zhan , let's go out." Wei Wuxian said with a smile.

" Mn "

" Alright" Wei Wuxian said, jumping in the room.

" Where ? " Lan Wangji asked.

" Just to have fun around. " Wei Wuxian said with a grin.

Lan Wangji nodded. He just needed to follow Wei Wuxian. Then they went out of inn.

People were doing preparation for night. In night market of any place always looked beautiful, illuminated with lanterns, bustling with people.

Wei Wuxian directly went towards the steam bun stall which had many fillings. The aroma was mixing in breathes , making anyone to taste once.
He asked the owner to give two one spicy and other without chillies.

The vendor with a smile gave Wei Wuxian two who gave him the silver which Lan Wangji had already put on his palm.

He , with a big grin, handed one to Jade who after some hesitation, held in his hand.

" Aiyaa, Lan Zhan , you can't eat with eyes. " Wei Wuxian said when he saw the jade just staring at the bun.

Lan Wangji did not respond to Wei Wuxian's teasing as usual but took a bite.

" Good ? " Wei Wuxian asked with expectations like he was the cook.

Lan Wangji nodded , earning a bright smile from Wei Wuxian. Wei Wuxian took another bite , making his cheeks puffed, looking cute. Lan Wangji was just staring at Wei Wuxian with soft eyes. He wanted to protect that innocence. He failed once , did not wanted to again.

" Lan Zhan , you should try to change your taste. These spicy ones are more delicious. " Wei Wuxian said , with full mouth.

" Don't talk while eating. " Lan Wangji said.

" Aish , we are in market . Far away from gusu." As soon as Wei Wuxian said that , he choked.

Lan Wangji immediately gave him water from his bottle on waist and patted his back gently.

" Aiyaa , I rarely choked on food. It's your fault Lan Zhan . Whenever I'm with you it always happen like reminding me the rules. " Wei Wuxian said, looking at Lan Wangji, regulating his breath , with his dramatic eyes.

Lan Wangji just smiled slightly. " So Dramatic "

" Why are you smiling ? I'm telling truth. You can ask anyone. " Wei Wuxian said ,trying to convince Lan Wangji.

" Mn " Lan Wangji said.

Wei Wuxian felt satisfied by the response. He again started to eat with his usual chatter. Lan Wangji just smiled. No one can stop his beloved.

After finishing the bun , Wei Wuxian dragged Lan Wangji to see different things. He was just looking and talking with vendors and shopkeepers. People too also fell for Wei Wuxian's charm and conversing skill, talking happily, gossiping and praising.
