Ye Baiyi was eating a pie when he saw Rong Xuan and Tian Xing come back to the house they call home.

Ye Baiyi wouldn’t admit it, but seeing both of them safe made him immensely relieved.

"You both came back?" He stood up and had a rather benign smile on his face. Tian Xing held her gaze for a while before nodding, smiling back, "Just for a while though."

Rong Changqing had also come out of the house. Seeing his own son and their all the familiar Xing-jie, had him delighted.

"Ahhh, A-Xuan, Xing-jie, come inside. It's been a while. How have you two been? How did your travels go?"

Tian Xing smiled, "I mean, for me it was pretty adventurous."
Rong Xuan gave her a side eye, "Sneaking into palaces surely seems adventurous."

Ye Baiyi slightly tripped hearing about sneaking into palaces, "What happened exactly?"

"Yeah, she snuck into the Neon Palace first. Then there was her dealing with the Li household and all. Zhao Jing also got scared for life." Rong Xuan sighed, "And then her meeting with the so called Green Siren. Oof, it's a jumbled mess."

"Freshen up." Wang RuoXie laughed, "Seems like you have a lot to say."
"I do. She made me feel so exhausted these days." Rong Xuan sighed again.

Tian Xing clicked her tongue, "Stop sighing like an old man all the time."
"You make me feel old, I can't do anything about it."

Tian Xing shook her head as she headed to freshen herself up.

Wang RuoXie put lunch on the table. And after freshening up, when they sat and started eating, Ye Baiyi brought it up again, "You wanted to say the tales, right?"
"Ah yes, I do." Rong Xuan ate a piece of meat from his soup and spoke, "I will start with the beginning."
