The Queen's Battle: Pt. 1

"If Gabriel is half the man he says he is, he'll be at his own show." I say aloud to my phone as I try on the dress my mother had bought for the fashion event later that day.  I couldn't help but applaud my mom as I admired myself in the mirror.

A white (or favorite color) satin mini dress hugged my curves and shimmered in the lights, the sweetheart neckline accentuated my chest and neck, and the long lantern sleeves - though a little too big that they could fall off- tied together the dress perfectly.

I was just finishing my mascara as Luka spoke from the other phone, "Yea, but if he's half the man we say he is, he's probably going to stay home and watch from his tablet." I couldn't help but scoff as I put the mascara wand back down. "That's just pathetic."

I heard Luka sigh from the other side of the line, "Yea well, what can we do." I fixed my (whatever style you want) hair and added some accessories as I continued, "Just wait around the area and I'll text you if he's out."

"Got it." Luka affirmed then hung up. I walk over to my closet to find the matching colored heels and slipped them on, making sure the jeweled straps wrapped around my lower legs perfectly. I stared back at myself in the mirror and smirked.

I look good.

Suddenly, I heard a knock at my door. "Sweetie, are you almost ready? We need to go ." My mom asked from the other side of the door. Hurridley I grab my phone and open the door, finding my mom all dressed up.

Her black jumpsuit with see-through sleeves showed off her body in all the right places, and the way her hair was slick back with only a few strands framing her face was like a warning to all that she meant business.

The energy she brought was what I aspired for.

She smiled at me as I walked out, "Aww, my baby is all grown up!" She cooed with about and a hug that I struggled to breath in. As she let go, I inhaled as much oxygen as I could. I smiled back, "Ready to go!"

We then headed out of the house and into the limo, waiting until we arrived at the venue. As we got out, I was bombarded by flashing lights and yells to look different ways. Stepping out, I looked in random directions waving and posing for the camera.

"And the L/N's have just arrived! The accomplished actress Josephine has been taking the world by storm with her recent projects, and her daughter, Y/N's rise to fame has captured the hearts of many, including the son of today's designer, Gabriel Agreste!"

I blush a bit by the reporter's words. My mom noticed and snickered as she put a hand on my back and led me inside.

As soon as we did my mom left to chat with the other actors and celebrities and Chloe bombarded me with a hug, "Oh my God, I thought you would never come!" He sighed dramatically. I laugh, "Watch the dress." I say as playfully push her off. She giggled and rolled her eyes, fixing her own dress.

"So, what's up with momma Buorgeois?" I ask curiously to which Chloe just groaned, "Same old,  But this time she fired me on camera. Fired! Her own daughter!" Chloe crossed her arms, "At this point, I'm pretty much done with it. If she doesn't see me as her daughter, forget it. I'll just become your sister." She then latched onto my arm, "You'd be okay with that, right."

I chuckle, "There's always room for you in house L/N." Chloe smiled, "Good, because I might be there more often, 'cause I don't think my dad would approve of my recent adventures." She looked down guiltily, with a slight blush on her cheeks.

Realizing what she meant I gasped, "Oh. My. God. Are you and Luka, like." I didn't finished as Chloe put a hand to my mouth, "We don't talk about it in public okay? My mom doesn't know about it yet." I nodded instantly, but I could help but squeal.
