OFFICIALLY UNWANTED

CHAPTER 3 : WEIRD

Whilst observing the visitors, something caught my attention
I didn't notice it until now, but other than the man and the woman who were formally dressed, there was also a child beside them

She seemed to be around my age, and well, she seemed weird...

For one, she was beautiful...

It's almost too beautiful

Wait! Am I just saying this because I found her a novelty?

I mean, she is the first child I have seen, so it's normal to find her cute, right?

I'm sure all kids should look adorable.
She's nothing special, I told myself

Why did they bring a child?
Is it so that I could drop my guard?

This immediately made me even more cautious than I already was.

I couldn't help but look more closely at the visitors, but again, my eyes were drawn to the child.

She was formally dressed in a yellow silky dress

This color matched her wonderfully because even from here, I can see that she was energetic and bubbly

It wouldn't even take a scientist to know that, especially when she was bouncing while walking and was laughing at whatever it was the man and the woman in front of her were saying.

I'm sure that she would be a handful to her retainers, but I don't think they would have minded.

She was, after all, adorable.

What? What do you mean adorable?
Which part of her is adorable?!

You just find her different, that's all, especially since even from here, you could feel her excitement radiating.

Hmmm... this got me thinking

What is she excited about?

Has it something to do with why they're here?

Why are they even here?
I just couldn't figure it out!

Lost in thought, I wad left gawking.
I didn't notice that she had already seen me until it was too late

That's weird, I thought I hid myself thoroughly well

I looked at her and saw that she was now looking back at me with her beautiful big doe eyes, and I was again stumped.

Her eyes were so clear and pure
It was also colored in a beautiful shade of hazel.

Her eyes were so mesmerizing.

It's even almost hypnotic...

It's the first time I felt overwhelmed by a pair of eyes.

Her eyes looked so vivid... so full of color
It's like it's pulling me in.

This isn't you!

You were just surprised that such a gaze came from a child.

I have always looked at people's eyes first when I meet them

I just find that most people's eyes couldn't lie.

Just then, she suddenly stopped walking

She then looked directly at me again and then began to observe me more carefully

She looked at me attentively, but soon, her cautious eyes began to change

I guess being serious wasn't her nature because it didn't take long at all for her to perk up again.
