Henry made his professional debut in 1989 and went on to have some notable wins in his early career, including knocking out John Fury in 3 rounds in 1991, beating Axel Schulz twice for European titles  as well as Jimmy Thunder for the commonwealth title.

He then went on to beat Johnny Nelson and former World Champion Tony Tucker before getting his chance at the title himself.

He won the vacant WBO title by knocking out Jeremy Williams in 3 rounds in 1996, he went on to defend his title twice against AlexanderZolkin and Scott Welch before getting disqualified for clinching against Lennox Lewis in 1997.

After this he went on a 8 win streak before getting knocked out by Oliver McCall in 2001.

He had his last professional fight in 2008.

His inclusion in the top 50 is mainly because of his high win percentage and a decent knock out percentage as he managed to keep winning after the glory days had ended.
