16 year old Jay Halstead looked up at the police building as he was dragged in by the police officer that had arrested him. He didn't know why he had been so violently arrested, and was beginning to get scared as he was pulled up some stairs into an interrogation room and roughly shoved into a chair.

His hands were forced onto the table and the cuffs fastened to the bar so he couldn't move; the young teen whimpered softly as he was knocked bybthe officer as he walked out. The door was slammed shut behind him and it made Jay flinch in fear; the room was silent, the only sound of his own breathing filling the room.

He jumped in fright as the door was opened roughly and gulped as he took in the man in front of him. Sergeant Hank Voight was well known in the area Jay lived, he had shut down many of the drug houses and had made the street slightly safer. He was also Jay's adoptive father, and clearly he was in big trouble but he still had no idea why he was here.

"Dad, why am I here" Jay whispered, looking at his father

"You want to tell me why one of my informants told me you've been selling drugs" Hank said, watching his son look at his hands, frowning when tears started falling from his eyes

"I was but I stopped, realised how much it could hurt you and baba" Jay whispered, sniffling softly

"You promise me that you've stopped?" Hank asked gently, reaching over and uncuffing his youngest son

"I don't want that life dad, it killed Will, I don't want to die" Jay said quietly, letting his hands rest in his lap

"Ok, take this as a scare, never again do I want this to happen" Hank said, standing up and opening the door to allow Jay to walk out

"Where's baba?" Jay asked quietly

"In my office, go and apologise to him, and then I'll take you home" Hank said softly, bringing Jay in to hug him and kiss his forehead gently

Jay only nodded before he walked down the hall into the main bull pen; ignoring the looks of sympathy that the team were giving him as he knocked on his dads office door.

"You're grounded to hell boy" Elliot Stabler growled as he took in his youngest son who was standing at the door

"I'm sorry baba, I really am" Jay whimpered, wrapping his arms around himself

"Sorry isn't going to cut it this time Jay, uour dad and I could loose our jobs if the upper brass find out" Elliot yelled

"I just wanted to find out what happened to Will, I thought if I sold drugs like him then I'd find out who killed him" Jay shouted back, his breathing becoming wheezy

"Jay, baby the man that killed Will is in jail, we arrested him a year after he did it" Elliot said softly, walking closer to his son

"He got out last month, good behaviour, I didn't want it to happen to another kid" Jay wheezed

"So you were trying to set him up" Ellliot sighed

"I'm sorry" Jay cried, trying to calm his breathing which was becoming more difficult

"Breathe baby, it's ok, I'm not angry anymore" Elliot soothed, pulling his son into his arms and holding him close

"I just wanted him to pay for killing my brother" Jay cried, coughing as he fought to catch his breath

"Baby, I need you to breathe" Elliot soothed, looking up when he heard his office door open

"He ok?" Hank asked his husband

"He's having an asthma attack, have you got his inhaler" Elliot asked, rubbing Jays back as he tried to help the teen get his breathing back to normal

"Yea" Hank said, walking over to his desk and rummaging in the topmdrawer, finding his sons blue inhaler and handing it to Elliot

"Jay, can I get three big breaths please" Stabler said gently

"Baba" Jay gasped, tears streaming down his face

"I know baby, just breathe for baba" Elliot soothed, placing the inhaler to Jays lips and guiding the teen to takena deep breath

"I'll take him home" Hank spoke, watching his sons breathing become easier

"I'm coming too, he hasn't had an attack that bad for a while" Elliot said, pulling Jay close and rubbing his back gently as the teen calmed down

"Baba" Jay whispered, holding his father close

"I'm here baby, you're ok, we're going home" Elliot whispered, looking up at Hank who was grabbing their things
