PART 50 - ANCIENT LEGACY

"Now, Yezun, stand next to me. Yunlan you stand behind us."

He waved toward the top of the waterfall where there was a niche carved into the rock.

Two of the holy tools came floating out and Yezun caught them. Two more came out and landed into Wei's hands.

Yunlan said, "Holy Moly, the artifacts. They are all here." He moved between them to get a closer look and the brothers stepped apart.

Yunlan reached out to touch the mountain river awl and Shen Wei captured his wrist.

"I think you should study these with your third eye before touching. We can take them into the main room and look at them."

"Can we take them into the sunlight outside?"

Yezun and Wei carried the items outside and laid them on boulders. Yunlan wanted to hold them, as if drawn to them. His pendant grew warm and Wei felt his warming too.

Yunlan and Wei looked at their pendants and saw the soul fires flickering and moving to the side nearest the tools.

As an experiment, because he was curious, Wei held his pendant to Yunlan's. Perhaps because Wei's heart blood was in Yunlan's, the soul fire in Wei's pendant (from Kunlun) jumped excitedly toward Yunlan's pendant.

"It's getting very warm now," Yunlan said, putting his fingers over it. Wei moved his away.

"Interesting," Wei murmured.

"What is in here, anyway?"

"All my love and part of my soul, my Beloved." Shen turned back to look at the holy items. He didn't want to tell Yunlan that he took his heart blood to put inside the pendant. He thought Yunlan would be upset.

"Oops I have a secret I'm keeping from him. Oh dren. What the yotz should I do? I have to tell him the truth." Wei realized he had kept the  real contents to himself.

Yunlan was looking at the artifacts with his third eye, examining the magical power that surrounded them like a white sun corona of energy burning brightly. He knew they were extremely powerful.

"That's why you and Yezun are keeping them separated. They can't be together with that kind of force."

"That's right, Sweetheart. We can't put them together. In fact, I think we should leave the longevity dial here since you won't be using it."

"Good idea, Ge. He doesn't need to study all of them.There are other ways to cultivate, and we will show him."

Yezun returned to the waterfall and placed the longevity dial back in the niche behind the water.

Yunlan looked at the remaining artifacts a long time, and then Yezun took the lantern in and made dinner.

Yunlan and Wei left the holy tools in the cave and went swimming in the lake, skinny dipping of course. Yezun encouraged Yunlan to rest his eyes and have some fun.

The lovers swam and chased each other, Yunlan whooping and hollering when he caught Wei. He knew Wei could have escaped him every time, but he didn't use his super strength.

Yunlan did use his new found strength to swim fast enough to catch Wei. Wei was strong and fit, so he could evade Yunlan without powers, but he rather liked getting caught and seeing his beloved so excited and having a good time.

The lake was too cold for any hanky panky, but very good for hugging and tossing each other. Wei could throw Yunlan farther than Yunlan could throw Wei.They laughed and kissed, with Wei twirling them in the water.
