Wei checked Yunlan's forehead and finally found an almost normal temperature. Da Qing snuck in (AN: Cats have their ways to go anywhere they want) and watched Yunlan from the bed's headboard.
Yunlan woke up around 9 AM. He was on top of Wei who snored lightly. Yunlan ordered room service. Wei was finally asleep after wiping and cooling Yunlan's fevered body all night. He did not wake up until Yunlan pulled the food cart in with a huge breakfast of fried eggs, potatoes, bacon and pancakes with maple syrup. There was a carafe of coffee and a teapot.
Although Yunlan thought all of that sounded good when he called room service, he wasn't in good shape to eat much of it but he tried everything. Wei ate the pancakes and eggs. Da Qing ate bacon and eggs. They put the rest in the mini fridge for later.
Wei checked his forehead with his own, leaning his head on Yunlan's.
"It is still overly warm, but the temperature is lower. Take some more aspirin, My Love. Wei got two out of the bottle and held them out.
"Are you better now? Feel up to this?" Wei asked.
"I'm okay now. We need to move as fast as possible here so we can move to the next site."
"Sweetheart, I can hear your labored breathing and..." He took Yunlan's wrist. "And your pulse is racing with the effort of just walking."
"I don't care! We have to move quickly. Let's go! I'll rest in the car."
Yunlan said to Da Qing, "You'd better change to your human form. You don't want the natives to see a Yashou or a black cat in the hotel."
"What's wrong with cats in a hotel?"
"First, there are only seeing eye dogs allowed. Emotional support cats aren't allowed at this place." He picked up the cat and held him, petting and staring into his eyes. "I know you were with us last night because you were worried."
"You seemed too sick, My Master. Of course I was worried."
"I'm fine now, the fever was a reaction to being overworked. Don't worry."
"Second, I read that superstitious people in this country think that black cats are unlucky creatures to be around."
"Meow that! What a stupid culture. Black cats are the superior color, especially for night work."

"Okay, I'm outta here. Stupid Meowing country." Da Qing sneezed as a sign of disrespect, turning into his human form and left the room.
Wei and Yunlan both showered together, in cool water and Yunlan didn't complain. They were in a hurry and held each other for a short while. Any longer and they would be involved in something besides getting clean.
Since he knew he could not talk him out of it, Wei did not argue with Yunlan. He took a backpack with their jackets, hats and a satchel with paper, a recorder, aspirin, water bottles and pencils. They met Fu in the hall right outside their room and went to the lobby where Da Qing was waiting.
