Lost in the Loop

The world's a tangled melody, a cacophony,

notes off-key, a rhythm lost at sea.

My mind, a frantic conductor, wild and strained,

obsessed with order, every note ordained.

Flickering thoughts, like fireflies in the night,

beckon me closer, demanding a ritual's light.

Compulsions whisper, a serpent's sly caress,

promising solace in a practiced emptiness.

Hours surrendered, a prisoner of time,

trapped in a loop, climbing the same rhyme.

Logic a fading echo, lost in the fray,

reason a whisper, drowned out by the day.

The weight of the world, a burden untold,

every cracked tile, a story left unsold.

Exhaustion a shroud, a heavy, suffocating cloak,

yearning for silence, a peace I can't evoke.

But somewhere, a flicker, a spark in the dark,

a defiant whisper, a healing embark.

To breathe past the storm, to see through the haze,

a world in acceptance, a new, gentle phase.

One step at a time, a battle hard-won,

reclaiming my melody, note by note, one by one.
