Same day.... | Hilton Garden Inn
Omniscient

The crisp, cold hotel air conditioning blasted through all four walls of the room.

It was now 8:07 in the evening and Kanari found herself knocked clean out.

From all of the stress of losing her job earlier, along with thr additional worry about what she was going to do with her life now, she couldn't do anything but sleep the pain away.

She had spoke to Tank prior to her nap, and although he tried his best to cheer her up, she was officially at the lowest point of her life.

Who knew being eighteen would come with so many complications?

Beginning to toss and turn out of her sleep, the slight ruckus next door caused her to fully awake from her slumber. Except this time, she heard more voices than earlier.

"Man damn, they need to gone on with all that bullshit." Rubbing her eyes, she stood up from the bed and walked over to the wall that connected her room to the room next door.

Putting her ear against the wall, she tried her best to figure out what was being said, and who was saying what.

On the other side of the wall, Sevyn and his crew was beginning to get angry.

Keith was doing an awful lot of talking, but wasn't giving answers to any of the questions that Sevyn asked.

"Cam, I need you to change his checkout time for me. Make it seem like he planned to leave today and not tomorrow." Sevyn requested to his other homeboy.

About 20 minutes ago, Sevyn was the last one to finally arrive at the hotel. Asante and his other homeboys waited in the dining area before proceeding upstairs to the fifteenth floor, room 1508.

Due to Kanari turning off her location, he had no clue that coincidentally, this was the hotel that she was checked into as well. Let alone, he didn't know that she was right next door.

Pressing her ear closer to the wall, Kanari stopped herself from breathing, giving her ears full access to hear everything that was going on.

"Where the fuck is—" She heard a deep voice speak.

Unfortunately, the thickness of the walls prevented her from hearing the full conversation that was going on.

Giving up on trying to investigate on the conversation going on next door, she went to the bathroom to prep herself for a shower, along her usual nighttime routine.

Checking her phone, she seen a message from her therapist.

Miss lady
You need to stop pushing people away every time that you get mad. You had no business saying what you said to that man when he does nothing but be good to you. If you continue to act the way you do, he will get fed up and leave. Take accountability and apologize Kanari.

Feeling a tear slip down her eye, she went to her Apple Music 'shower' playlist. She turned the volume all the way up before stepping into the shower.

Just as Kanari gave up on listening to what was happening next door, Keith finally gave up the tough act.

As soon as he seen the handle of a gun poking out of Sevyn's slacks, he began to sing his secrets like a hummingbird.
