AS SIYANA SAT in the midst of the loud living room and kitchen, a sensory overload of high-level athletes, A-list rappers, and Instagram model groupies looking forward for their two minutes of attention from the men around them engulfed her.

She had never wanted to leave a function more than she did right now but she couldn't blame anyone but herself for dragging herself here in the first place.

The energy of the room buzzed around her, yet she felt like a spectator in a chaotic performance she never signed up for.

The disconnection from the pulsating rhythm of the party was palpable as she patiently awaited Kylie's decision to leave.

In the midst of it all, she couldn't shake the nagging thought that maybe she should have insisted on taking Kylie home earlier.

Ontop of all of that, she was starting to increasingly annoyed with the shit going on around her.

The drunk antics, the loud talking, and the unapologetic groupies constantly brushing past her were beginning to irk her nerves — and badly.

Yana sighed a she rested her elbow on the couch arm, leaning her head into her hands before Kylie ran up to her with another shot cup filled with liquor in it.

"Kylie." Yana spoke with irritation on her voice, she was so over it at this point that she didn't even want to get drunk. She was tired and ready to go home.

"Girl, now you don't wanna take no shots. Shit, ok! More for me!" Kylie shrugged before throwing both shots back, Yana didn't even understand how Kylie wasn't sloppy ass drunk at this point.

Knowing how Yana was, if this was anybody else she would've been and went home. But, she knew in her heart it wouldn't have been right for her to leave Kylie at a party that she already felt iffy about coming too.

Yana was barely raised by anybody but that didn't mean she didn't have common sense or morals.

Yana at this point, needed something to help her get through the rest of this night without going off on someone. A blunt would be so good to Yana right now.

Yana paused, trying to remember if she ever emptied the weed and pack of cigars her and Kylie had bought from the dispensary earlier.

Yana opened her purse and low and behold, she uncovered a medium-sized bag of weed, a pack of rolling papers , a lighter and a silver grinder, nestled among the usual jumble of essentials.
