"Kentrell is dead Von! He's dead!—"
"Huh?—"
Dayvon frowned, his eyebrows furrowing together. A strange tightness in his chest heavily weighed on him as he blinked a few times. Von was trying to get a good look at what was in front of him, but the only thing he could make out was pure darkness all around.
"Mani?"
He called out.
"And so is Kema! She's dead too! And Jasmine as well!—"
He could hear the familiar female voice piercing through his ears. The fact that it sounded exactly like Normani only made him confused.
"Normani? Baby is that you?"
Von continued to call out. He had no idea what was going on at all. Besides the echoing of her voice, he could also hear the sound of his own heart beating rapidly through his chest. He could feel the anxiety plummeting to his stomach as the yelling continued.
"Do you hear me Von?! Let's not forget about Chris either, and Breezy? There both dead too because of you!"
She went on.
"Shit Mani— I had no choice!"
He suddenly shouted back, allowing his own frustrations to get the best of him. Von's body grew hot just by her words alone. This conversation sounded all too familiar to him, as if they had it once before.
