"Sasuke, do you mind bringing me a few more seeds from the kitchen?" Hinata had decided to plant a few plots of vegetables at Sasuke's.

It had been a few months since she'd become clan leader, and it seemed to be taking a toll on the Uchiha's eating habits.

He refused to eat without her, waiting outside the Hyuuga compound after meetings and walking her to his place for dinner. It started to become so late in the day that the grocery store would be closed by cooking time.

She was getting sick of his tantrums, and ultimately decided to make the produce more accessible this way.

"Yeah, hold on." Sasuke came out with seeds and a glass of chilled tea.

"Thank you." Hinata tippy toed to peck Sasuke on his forehead. He gave her one in return in the same spot.

He sat on the steps leading to his home and watched as Hinata watered the green sprouts.

"How much longer will you be living in that place?" Sasuke sighed. He was tired of sharing his girlfriend with the rest of the village.

"Until another head takes my place." Hinata said absentmindedly.

"Oh." Sasuke paused. "That won't be too long then."

Hinata blushed at the thought. She didn't say anything, for fear Sasuke would use it against her later. They had been dating for close to a year now, and she learned quickly that the Uchiha enjoyed telling jokes at her expense.

"They'll get an heir in no time." He continued.

"Sasuke." She spoke after a long silence. "Please just, let's talk about something else." Hinata felt her face heating up, and she knew he was cackling on the inside.

"Hm." He'd spare her this time. "The wedding is soon."

"Right! That reminds me. I need to meet up with the girls tomorrow for our dress fittings." Hinata set the water can she was using aside and sat down next to Sasuke on the steps.

"What? Dress fittings? Don't you already know what size you are? It's not even your wedding!"

"Yes, but it's more than that. It's a special order so we have to make sure everything fits in the appropriate places. I need to look presentable for my cousins big day!" Hinata explained. She knew she was wasting her breath. Sasuke knew what a dress fitting was. He was just being bratty.

He snaked his arms around her waist and rested his chin on her shoulder.

"You have to let me know if I ever get too much for you." Sasuke said, suddenly serious. He never wanted Hinata to feel like she had to be with him.  He hated pity, no matter how dependent he had grown to be with her.

"Sasuke, I love you. You don't have to worry about that stuff with me. I honestly wish you'd stop telling me that." She confessed.

"Because I love you too, I'm not going to stop."

"You're so stubborn." Hinata hummed, running her fingers through Sasuke's hair.

"You knew what you were getting yourself into." He smirked. He rocked back and forth, moving Hinata with him.

"That's one thing Naruto taught me." Hinata giggled.

"Ugh, why'd you have to bring him up?" Sasuke said, halting his actions and lifting his head.

"Ah geez, just come here. You're just like a kid sometimes." Hinata took Sasuke's hand and led him inside. She had a little more time before she had to make the morning practice she scheduled with Hanabi.

Sasuke no longer feared smothering Hinata with so much emotion that she'd run away. He realized over time that she was quite accepting. It wasn't something that he was used to, but he was grateful.

He was truly happy with the way everything turned out, and he wouldn't have asked for a different sequence of events.

There was no need for do-overs.
