A Certain Race

Now, KFS reaches area where the racers prepare, they carefully look around the place until they notice Captain watching them! "There you are!" he says excitedly, "Hey Captain! I thought we were jus' gonna get kicked out!" Rei exclaims, "Not yet!" Captain laughs, "I'm surprised we were allowed to come back this late.." Miya chimes.. "Late? You're right on time!" Captain reveals, Mac squinted his eyes in suspicion "Wait, so Ashley's a l...". Miya warns him via a jab and ask "We thought Ashley said you were starting early?", "Wha? No... especially not since I know I have fans who's friends with my daughter!" he laughs, "I'd just pull out of this race if it wasn't a possibility to meet now..". Captain then leans in towards the group: "I have such a huge lead in overall rankings: I can afford to skip a race or two.." he whispers. Windo giggles, then he requests "Okay, I have a completely different reserved spot for you 5, go..." Captain taps something on his phone "Here.". Everyone notices they're getting notifications, Rei gets out his iPod first and realizes "Hey... this is kinda far...". "Don't worry, if you need anything: just tap the notif and it'll help you out!" Captain reveals. They then overhear the announcer yelling through intercom "It's ALMOST TIIIME, FOR THE F--7 SUMMER FEST!"! " Shit, we need to go!" Rei says and they all leave!

The race begins to start, but Faire notices some others from afar, then shook his head "No.. no one else would be here..." Faire thought.. "Only friends that're interested in this.. I'm only here because it excited me once.. no one except the Auto*Hoshi would actually come here...". 

The race then starts!! KFS watches excitedly as F--7 racers go around the track, though nothing much starts happening as they go all the way up the long raceway that stretches through the city, and slingshots back into colosseum.. until the second round! "THEY HAVE BOOST POWER!!!" the announcer cheered very loudly "Now it's time to crank it up!!!". The racers constantly boost and the crowds must watch both the monitors showing the race normally upon the racers leaving the stadium, and the other monitors  which have slo-mo versions of the quick-paced crashes and slams going on! KFS then notice their phones again, as the high pitched alarm pierces through the deafening screams, cheers and motor noises: "Hey, Captain wants us to go there now!" Rei says, "Oh I guess he really IS good: he already knew he'd be so far ahead he could set up whatever he wanted before the race started.." Miya giggles some.. "Hope he isn't trying to get us to help him cheat; maybe that's why he's so good?" Mac joked.. "Nah, he'd win without our help, or he wouldn't have THIS much sway over everything!" Windo laughs as they pushed through the crowds and down to ground level..

Here, Rei steps forwards as he says "We need to get to the next leg of the race before they finish with Biriham. I guess they'll go through Raibuck next, so we need to go against his way to get out and cut to the next track.", "Let me drive u..." Mac almost volunteers, when one of Captain's workers come up "Don't worry about that: Mr Captain.. I mean, Andy, had us ensure your car gets washed, and tuned up, while WE take you to the next branch." he reveals, "Oh sweet!" Mac cheered, his friends laugh too and the group follows the worker to a limo. Then they're driven from the outskirts of downtown Biriham and to Raibuck.. Rei laughs as he looks through the window "Hahaha, bet ya didn't think we'd be watchin' in first-class!" Rei asks Faire, "Yeah, I wonder how much he rearranged?" he replies "I wanted to go... but I had no idea we'd be doing all this or that he would even know we were coming..". "Oh yeah, I made arrangements but I'm kinda curious too.. why did he Captain do all of this: like I jus' paid for tickets and that's it!" Rei wonders as he now sat back down in his seat, admittedly getting slightly suspicious of this overwhelmingly good fortune... "Maybe we're being promoted since we're S-Ranks?" Mac asked proudly, his best friend shrugs "Probably? We helped out others to get to our rank too, when we became that, maybe he really is just showing us off? Ha!" Rei jokes, Windo then suggests "He's a S-Rank too, and so is his friend group, there has to be something more...". Miya adds "Maybe he actually has a business offer for everyone? It would be fun to do! we're different from Auto*Hoshi so he might need our help with something as well?". Before Rei could answer, they find that they're at the next leg of the huge race! "Please hurry to this grandstand." the worker says "When the intermission starts, Captain will tell you everything.". KFS climbs up into this one which is somewhat less crowded due to it being for VIPs, the group watches a monitor as the racers come close.. then they watch as the actual F--7 machines come down the road, with Captain winning that leg of the race! The crowds cheers, and the announcer yells over the intercom: "And Captain crosses the finish line! The next leg is up next: the undercity! Who will win? Will Captain keep up his win streak, or will someone else take the second belt!?". Everybody starts talking amongst their friend groups, and/or preparing for the next leg, but Captain immediately looks for KFS! Rei noticed and comes down to him, with his team following. "Ah you made it!" Captain says, "Oh yeah, we hadda lotta help!" Rei laughs! "Good, things are going well!" Captain starts, when another limo comes up.. "There's the other contestant!" he adds. Gram, Kent, Gary and Pico come out and walk up to Captain "Hey what's goin' on, dude?" Gram laughed, Gary shakes Captain's hands too "I am such a big fan of yours, sir!" he says nervously! "Oh yeah, that's why I picked your group too!" Captain explains "I wanted to get closer to some fans and let them know kinda how it feels to do this kind of racing. Normally, you'd reach out to civilians immediately, but I wanted to let people who should have some idea how it's like, to experience this first.". Kent nods in agreement having interact with his fans before too (since he has a superhero hero name), as Gary laughs "So we're all getting a ride?". Captain then explains "Well those of you with a license will get a chance to soup up your vehicle to have specs similar to a F--1! But I actually would drive the others around..", as he spoke: Faire notices Pico and asks in a quiet voice " I had no idea he was here!? What the...??" . his brother replied-being the only one who noticed his voice "Yeah, you're not the only one who wanted to do this.". Faire then wonders "But...OK... you didn't seem interested in it at all... Like, you actually avoided me when I was trying to see if I could watch a race..", but as normal, Pico ignored him and sneered some in anger... which was expected but still a weird response to this. Faire looks away from him and notices Captain looking at him and his brother! "Now, I was going to let Faire see first since his name literally came up first. But Pico over there knew a lot more about the F--7 machines, so I know he can't wait to get in!" Captain says, and he and Pico get into his vehicle: The Falcon, and the next race starts!
