An ordinary/ordinaries/ordi is a creature in the supernatural world. They aren't very different from humans aside from the fact that they have much longer lifespans and their blood has special qualities. The blood of Ordinaries works to enhance the abilities and powers of its drinker and in a vampire's case, it helps them go much longer without feeding. Ordinary blood is the sweetest blood out of all beings in the supernatural and human world, which makes it far more addicting to vampires. (There will be more explained throughout the book but this is all you need to know for now.)
