The sound of the booming music made Thalie's head hurt. She wasn't drunk perse, tipsy but not drunk. She could still walk and see straight. She was sitting next to her childhood friend Angel, the Filipina finally able to visit her.

The two girls had been too caught up in their jobs to be able to catch up. And the moment Angel was able to visit the girl in Monaco, she did. So, there the model was, listening to Angel rant about Max Verstappen of all people.

As Angel finally let it all out, she sighed and smiled at her friend, "How about you? How was the date?" Despite not being able to physically bond, Angel was not late in knowing the gossip about Thalie and her feelings towards her best friend.

The memory of the date making the model smile and yet it didn't stay long. "Uh oh. Was it not what you expected?" Angel asked.

Thalie sighed, "It was. It was more than what I expected." She admitted. Angel furrowed her eyebrows, "Then why is the smile not sticking? Isn't it supposed to be smooth sailing from then?"

"I wish it was like that..."

"What did the idiot do?" Angel asked. Thalie gulped, "The date was amazing, I even gave him a little kiss-"

"You kissed Charles?!"

Thalie covered her friend's mouth. Angel's eyes wide as saucers and she stared at her. The model sighed, "On the cheek yes, now will you calm down?" she asked. The reporter nodded and the latter pulled her hand away from her friend.

"If its so great what's wrong?"

"I don't know. He hasn't reached out since that night." Thalie said with a frown, her eyes looking at the drink that she had on their table. Angel sighed and placed a hand on top of her friend's, "He's being an idiot-"

"Or he just doesn't like me." She cut her off. The reporter shook her head, "I don't think so."

The two girls stared at each other, Thalie didn't want to keep her hopes up. She didn't want to force it, she was the one who asked him out on a date already, it was up to Charles now. And Angel knew that, if she could, she would have pulled Charles by the ear and made him realize that he was acting like an idiot.

"Nevermind us. He'll reach out when he's okay." Thalie said with a small smile. "And what about you? Are you okay?" Angel asked.

Thalie shrugged, "I'm okay. If he doesn't like me back, what did I lose?" she asked with a sad chuckle. But Angel saw it, Thalie had hoped that the dinner would make her best friend realize. And she believed that Charles did realize something that night.

It was impossible that the driver did not feel any romantic feelings towards her friend. Just from the way they looked at each other, the way they were towards each other, it was the perfect code to a perfect romantic relationship and not just a friendship.

"Charles will come around." Angel said, trying to cheer up her friend. Thalie sighed, "I hope so too..." she muttered.

Angel got tired of the sudden change of their mood, she had invited the model to go out to forget their problems with boys, so she pulled her up to her feet.

"Angel-" "Let's dance. Forget all about Max and Charles. They'll be there tomorrow but tonight its just you and me." The reporter said.

Thalie chuckled but nodded, "You're right. Let's dance!"

The two friends found themselves dancing to whatever song was being played that night. Completely letting go of the worry and problem that they were facing with quite slow realizing boys. They let the night carry them and their problems away for the meantime.
