EU lived in a pleasant neighborhood usually busy with people outside attending garage sales or social gatherings like barbeques. They always got a smile or a wave but since this month those have gotten fewer in occurance each passing day. They walked down the cracked and chipped sidewalk still admiring the day.

He noticed some young kids around 4-7 years of age playing tag in a front yard. The game paused however when they spotted EU and started to stare. EU assumed their parents have been talking about the disapearances and about him. A young girl in the group raised her hand slightly to wave but one of the older boys made her put the hand down. EU didn't plan stopping and kept his pace to get home trying to ignore the children. The children eventually got back to their game and yelling at eachother joyfully like nothing had happened.

The smell of a fireplace and smores filled the air coming from some distant backyard. A few cars slowly drove past EU and dissapeared behind turns.

They stopped and looked up at a pleasant house. It wasn't huge but it wasn't small either, it was perfect. They took out their keys and walked up to the door to unlock it. They keys took some wrestling but eventually the lock clicked open and.. the door wouldn't budge. EU tried to push it open but it was pretty much stuck. They sighed and started walking to their back door thinking about fixing that later. EU reached to unlock the back door but realized it was open but a crack. They felt a shiver up their spine and peaked inside. Did they forget to close it fully perhaps? Did someone get in?

Inside the house was dark and untouched. It didn't look broken in at all so EU stepped inside cautiously. They put their keys on the near table and slowly walked around checking every corner and possesion they had. the kitchen seemed untouched, and so did the bedroom. Nothing was off about the bathroom or living room either... Maybe they did forget to close it fully? If so they felt a bit idiotic. Sure it was a nice neighborhood but with all the disapearences it's really not safe to make mistakes like this! EU quickly shut the back door and walked to investigate the front door but as they walked into the hallway they were shocked to see a chair leaned up against the door blocking it. Now that.. was not normal whatsoever. Who did this? EU took the chair off, after some struggle, and set it back at the table before glancing around the area nervously. This was just odd now. Who would break in just to block the front door and not steal anything?

     EU: "Hallo? Is anyone there?"

They listened carefully but heard nothing.. maybe they left a while ago? They couldn't help but still be uncomfortable about it. They kept thinking the worst possible reasons; like what if they weren't after EU's property but them instead? This thought gave EU chills and they definitley would lock their doors after this, infact they locked both doors now just incase.

EU headed into their bathroom and washed their face hoping it'd help them.. at least a little bit. After picking out a book, they sat on their couch and read in silence. A muffled pitter patter could be heard on the roof causing their mind to get out the book and check the time. 5:38 PM already? Work would've been over a while ago which poor UN would have had gone home in the rain. They felt a twinge of guilt now from that. UN always hated getting their wings wet because they were already clumsy enough, yet EU wasn't there to keep them dry.

There was a sudden light knock at the door which caused EU to jolt up from the couch. They set the book down and cautiously walked to the door. They got on the tip of their toes to see out the peephole to check who it was. After unlocking the door, EU opened it to greet who it was.
