Chapter 24||

{Sadie's POV} I begin reading."Sadie,

Andrew's family, our family, and you two are Snow Seekers. The name is really cheesy,but it is an important responsibility. We triggered this rebellion. This is not goodbye forever. Protect Andrew he is more fragile than you think. Good luck and don't give in to fear. Read the notebook to find out the first steps. I love you, mom" Finally, everything sinks in. My eyes tear up and my throat gets tight. I take a shaky,deep breath. I have to stay strong,I have to keep going. I start rummaging through my bag,searching for the notebook. Andrew finishes his own letter and slides down next to me. I silent tear runs down my cheek. "This whole thing is a rebellion." I say in a crackled voice. Andrew wipes the tears off of my cheeks with his thumb. Then,he puts his arm around my shoulder and pulls me close to him. I carefully lift the cover of the notebook. Andrew is rubbing my back. "Andrew, you know what we are,right?" "Yeah." I find the page that says "Step 1" "I'll read" Andrew says. {Andrew's POV} I comfort Sadie as I read. "You and Sadie must go downtown and meet a fellow Snow Seeker. You will always return to the cave. Look in the corner. They expect you to look your finest." There is a box next to it. Like in a checklist. "So we are making an alliance?" I ask. "Sounds like it. Let's look in the box!" We walk over to the corner of the cave. Sadie rips the seal,she looks excited. Then, she takes out her dress. I am speechless. "Well, what are you waiting for? Try it on!" She giggles but, her smile fades when she reads the tag attached to it. "Andrew, this dress was your mother's." I clench my jaw. I can't cry now, I can't. Not in front of Sadie, I have to keep her strong. "Try it on." I say through clenched teeth. "Andrew if you don't want me-" I cut her off. "Go! You have to there's no choice!" "You are right I'm sorry. Just,turn around." {Sadie's POV} Andrew respects me and turns around. I unbuckle my belt and slide down my pants. My coat was already off. I peel off my many layers, leaving me in only my undergarments. I step into the dress. It is about knee length, strapless,and bright red. I take out my braid letting my wavy brown hair flow. "Andrew can you give me a hand?" He turns around and gasps. His jaw drops to the ground. "Wow!" Is the only word that escapes his mouth.

Chapter 25||

{Andrew's POV} I stumble over to Sadie nearly tripping several times. She giggles the whole time. I can't help but smile. I finally stand at Sadie's side. She turns around and lifts her hair exposing the zipper. My fingers fumble as I try to zip it up. I turn red when Sadie has guide my hands to close the dress. She looks in the box again and finds some shoes,mirror,and some makeup. She goes to where her clothes are and leans the mirror against the wall. Then, she begins fixing herself up. I find myself watching her. I don't notice until she say something. "Shouldn't you be getting ready?" "Um yeah." I walk over to the box and find a suit. {Sadie's POV} I was happy to find the mirror and the black pumps. I'm already pretty tall, 5'10 but these heels that look to be 3inches will make me even taller. Andrew is even taller thought at 6'4. I look through the makeup bag and find some simple things. I line my eyes with black eyeliner and put on one coat of mascara. I decide on a light pink lip color. I shake out my wavy hair and leave it alone. I finish by sliding into my heels. I turn to see Andrew in a black suit and a red tie to match my dress. He's checking his reflection in his own mirror and gels his hair to a spike in the front. He is absolutely handsome. I re-read the notebook finding map to our location. I clean up my clothes that are strewn across the ground. {Andrew's POV} I finish up and put our mirrors back into the box. "Hey Sadie are you done with your makeup?" "Yeah", she doesn't turn her head,sadly. I walk back over to the box and find perfume for Sadie and cologne for me. I take the out of the box carefully. Then, a box falls out. It has a tag attached. It reads"For Andrew's eyes only!" I smirk as I put it into my pocket. "Here's some perfume Sadie." This time she does turn completely around. Her perfect face enhanced by makeup is beautiful. I mean, she was perfect without makeup but, she looks gorgeous with makeup too. I walk over and hand her the perfume. I kiss her cheek and whisper in her ear "You look amazing." I see her blush. "Not so bad yourself." She grins. My mind instantly turns to the box in curiosity. What's in there?

Chapter 26||

{Andrew's POV} "I'll get the sled ready." I say changing the subject. I grab my jacket and walk outside. "Whoa! Was that there the whole time!?" "Andrew!" Sadie says as she appears out of the cave with a worried expression. "The dogs are...." She trails off as she notices it too. Before us is a huge silver sled with our dogs prepared and ready to go. "I guess we can go" Sadie hands me the map and goes back inside the cave to get her jacket. I imediatly fumble for the box and open it. I stare at the contents in disbelief. I curse under my breath. Then, I am startled by a tap on my shoulder. "Ready to go, honey?" My knee turn to jello and my heart melts. Did she just call me honey? The box closed when I jumped and I peaked inside to make sure it was in there. I shoved it into my pocket and turned around offering Sadie my arm. "Ready to escort you madem." I say in a proper voice. Sadie giggles. "Oh stop it Andrew!" She say still laughing. I help her into the sled and wrap the blanket around her. I climb into the back smiling and thinking to myself; so that's what Mr.Hayes meant when I had his blessing. "Mush!" I shout still letting the information sink in. I get to marry Sadie.

Chapter 27||

{Andrew's POV} Wait, I get to marry Sadie?! She's only sixteen.... I don't-I am cut off by Sadie's father. "Andrew,yes she is young. It's alright it's not real." I sigh in disappointment. "Don't worry,it'll be real someday." He chuckles and then,silence."Hey Sadie? Are we going out to eat?" "Like a date?" I can tell she smirks by her tone. "I guess you can call it that." I answer back nervously. "It's alright if that's what it is Andrew,we're a couple now remember?"

{Sadie's POV} I tease Andrew because usually he is confident,I had no idea I had this effect on him. Then,I realize the real reason. Andrew is hiding something from me. "According to the book,there is a restaurant right next to our meeting place. You have your knives right?" I ask nervously. "Don't be silly Sadie! I have one bow too." "I'm just checking,you saw what happened to my dad." Sadie,it was a setup!" "I know it's just,this isn't like home Andrew." {Andrew's POV} I cringe at that realizing I should take my own advice and acknowledge Sadie's concern. I glance at the map but am inturupted by Sadie gasping. "I think we're here,Andrew." I gaze up at the city before us and my jaw drops. This is nothing I have seen before.

Chapter 28

{Andrew's POV} We follow the map through the city receiving strange looks from the locals. I check my watch. "Do you think we have time to eat?" "What time is it?" "Five exactly." I answer. "We have plenty of time! Our meeting is at seven." I pull up to the restaurant and we are greeted by a young man about Sadie's age. "May I park your sled?" he asks in a familiar voice. Where do I recognize him from? {Sadie's POV} My heart drops into my stomach. It's Lucas. "Ok." Andrew answers. Lucas walks over to where I am seated. "May I say sir, your date is beautiful." I blush praying that he doesn't recognize me. "Thank you, I am well aware." Andrew utters. I blush again. He sounds like he's trying to cool off. He is aware that if he gets into a fight, which he would have at home, we will not complete the mission. Lucas offers me his hand, I hesitantly take it. He helps me out of the sled as I shrug off the blanket. "Oh my god! Sadie Hayes?!" he exclaims. "Yes, it's me Lucas." I say with a hint of sadness in my voice. "Look at you." He says eyes wide. "JUST TAKE THE SLED BUDDY!" Andrew screams with rage and shoves a five dollar bill at Lucas' shoulder. "You're right I'm sorry. Can I get a name?" "Andrew." He simply says. "Andrew Gray?!" "Um, yeah. Come on Sadie." I offer him my arm and he wraps it with his. "Nice to see you Sadie." He winks and takes off to the holding area.
