Chapter 7: meeting

"Sunoo.. you don't seem very okay to me. If you want I can listen to what you have to say, unless you are uncomfortable to open up too early." Niki said with a sweet voice,

"I promise I'm okay. Just a little tired."

"Oh okay.."Niki knew that the older was not telling the truth, but he decided to let it slide for now and wait until he was ready to talk.

"Let's go for a walk." Sunoo suggested, earning a nod from the younger.

They both walked in quiet down the streets, enjoying the soothing sounds of the wind. A comfortable silence had settled between them.

"So.. how did the whole mask situation happen? I'm kind of curious." Sunoo asked, trying to initiate a conversation.

"Oh.. my father was just kind of strict towards me. He would always be preoccupied by my grades and never allowed me to do what I truly wanted. So here I am.. hiding behind this stupid mask."

"It's not stupid at all.. you honestly are a very courageous and determined person. I admire you for that." Sunoo smiled.

"Thank you.." Niki couldn't help but chuckle slightly as the older's kind words.

"How long can you stay here?" Sunoo asked.

"For around fifteen minutes more." Niki said, as he checked the time on his phone.

"Awww.. that really sucks. I wish you could stay a bit longer."

"I wish I could too.. but my father would probably find out if I keep sneaking out for too long."

"Right.. tomorrow I promise to be at school and then we can actually hang out some more."

"That sounds great..I'll wait for you at break."

"Alright." Sunoo smiled widely, Niki couldn't help but admire how pretty the make was when he smiled.

"You look cute when you smile." Niki said softly.

"What? Speak louder I can't hear you." Sunoo chuckled.

"I- nothing." Niki blushed.

"Stop lyinggg. Tell me what you said." Sunoo whined.

"I have to go now. See you." Niki nervously chuckled before he rushed towards the opposite directions towards his home.

"Stupid." Sunoo yelled with a huge smile, as he started walking away.

"Time for my part time job." Sunoo sighed.

Niki rushed back home, he should really think before speaking. Calling Sunoo cute when they had only met a day ago. That was crazy.

He was relieved to be able to save himself from the embarrassment. Then again, he couldn't help but get rid of Sunoo's face when he found him at the park. He couldn't exactly read the male, but he knew something was not right.

He opened the window to his bedroom and quickly changed, brushed his teeth and then walked towards his bed.

"I'm so exhausted. Time to sleep."

"Jake!" Niki exclaimed as he rushed towards his best friend, who was sitting on a bench outside.

"Oh Heyy.. you seem in a good mood. It's weird." Jake smiled.

"I'm going to meet my friend again later on so please don't wait for me."

"No please let me come with you! Last time during break when you weren't there, this strange guy came over to my table and asked if he could sit with me and some of my other friends."

"And.. what happened then?"

"He kept being cheesy with me. His stupid pick up lines or jokes he whispered in my ears were so embarrassing. I tried to explain to my friends that he was just playing so as not to make things awkward."

"Who even is it?"

"Funny thing. I don't even know his name. All I know is that he is some senior guy."

"If you want you can stay with me, but I don't know if my friend would be okay with it."

"Is it the same person that ghosted you last time?"

"He didn't actually ghost me. He didn't come to school yesterday."

"I don't even know who he is since I don't recall you having any friends before me." Jake chuckled

"Rude much. It's a guy i met before."

"Whatever you say."

"Let's go to class now. It's almost 9 am"

"Right."

Niki and Jake both got up and started walking towards their next class. Niki was definitely not excited for a two hour maths lesson, compared to Jake who pretty much enjoyed the subject. He was considered a weirdo to the blonde for liking it.

"I'm so done."

"Maths is fun. Stop crying and being a child."

"You really need-" Niki's eyes met someone's which caused him to stop talking.

Sunoo smiled widely as he walked towards the blonde, followed by a person. Jake's eyes travelled towards the male. His nose scrunching in disgust as he realized it was the senior who had been bothering him yesterday.

"Niki let's go please. I'm gonna die."

"No wait. That's my friend."

"Hi Niki!" Sunoo smiled.

"Hey."

"Oh Jake."

"I'm out bye." Jake chuckled awkwardly before leaving.

"What's wrong with him?" Niki sighed.

"I don't know. Is it because of you Sunghoon?" Sunoo asked as he looked at the older.

"Jake is so cute. I never believed in love at first sight but here I am." Sunghoon stated, making Sunoo roll his eyes.

"Don't mind him."

"No no. This actually hilarious. I'm so going to tease Jake about this later."

"Do you have his number by any-" Sunghoon asked, his eyes glowing.

"You already scared him enough. What did you even do. Don't tell me you used those nasty pick up lines you found on google."

"Eh."

"Sunghoon. You might be my cousin, but you really are an idiot sometimes.

"Here is his number. Don't tell him I gave you alright? It's about time Jake found himself a boyfriend, he keeps swarming around me all the time."

"I- poor Jake." Sunoo sighed.

"Thank you so much."

"Okay now. Calm down you have to go to class Sunghoon." Sunoo sighed.

"I'll see you later? Same place as I said last time. See you!"

"Alright! Bye. Enjoy your next class."

"I doubt I will but thanks."
