Karma paced angrily back and forth in her home, her mask was off her face and discarded on the ground by the entrance of the house. It was too quiet. It hadn't been this quiet since her mother died.

Karma couldn't help but think back to her brother, what did she do to him that made him want to leave so bad?

She would be the first to admit that she hadn't always been there for her brother, yet to her surprise, he never expressed any discomfort about her occasional absence.

Why was he suddenly bothered by it now?

The girl thought back to her mission, two years of no contact with anyone but the Hokage. This thought made her pace faster. Who was going to take care of the trees? Who was going to make sure Shio was okay? Who was going to fill her spot while she was gone?

This level of stress wasn't normal for Karma. She could hear her heartbeat pounding in her ears, her fists clenched in fury, her palms cut by her fingernails.

She suddenly stopped pacing and walked over to a mirror. With a surge of anger, she clenched her fist and drove it into the mirror, the force shattering the glass into a thousand pieces. As the mirror fractured, millions of little reflections of her stared back, each one capturing a different facet of her fury and despair.
