- - - - - Adrian told Jewel everything that had happened, from the lightning strike all the way to when he reached home. - - - - -

- - - - - Jewel never saw any old folk with Adrian outside, and neither of them knew who those mystery people were. - - - - -

- - - - - The same hope that sparked in Adrian now shinned in his wife as well. - - - - -

- - - - - It was like a Grambi-send! An answer to their prayers. - - - - -

- - - - - Both rushed to the garden, picking apart their trees, bushes, and anything else that could bear fruit in search of the red and white apples. - - - - -

- - - - - In a tree stripped of almost everything from the storm hung the two apples they were looking for. - - - - -

- - - - - Quickly plucking the special fruit from the branch, Adrian brought them inside, holding onto the apples as if they were some magic artifact they found. - - - - -

- - - - - Adrian remembered what he was told... Eating the red apple meant a baby boy. Eating the white apple meant a baby girl. - - - - -

- - - - - Adrian gave both apples to his wife, unable to see which one was which in the first place, and made her promise to "surprise him" with her choice but to only eat ONE. - - - - -

- - - - - Unfortunately... Even though Adrian told her the old couple's warning, she did not heed it. - - - - -

- - - - - After thanking Adrian for all he had done to get the fruit, Jewel went aside to choose which apple to eat. - - - - -

- - - - - Jewel decided to take a bite out of the red apple in hopes of a baby boy that would be just like Adrian when they grew up... - - - - -

- - - - - The fruit was delicious. - - - - -

- - - - - Before she knew it, she had finished the red fruit and had even eaten the white fruit! - - - - -

- - - - - Of course, she kept Adrian's promise and didn't tell him which fruit she ate. - - - - -

- - - - - Jewel didn't tell Adrian that she ate both apples, thinking that it would not matter, and the two of them waited...and waited.....until finally..! - - - - -

- - - - - The human woman was officially pregnant, and one trip to the nearest doctor confirmed that she would be ready in just  36 mere weeks. - - - - -

- - - - - The baby they had long awaited was now coming! Their prayers had been answered after all of their tears and trials! - - - - -

- - - - - All they could do now was wait. - - - - -

- - - - - Over time, Adrian grew used to his lack of vision, permanently blinded because of the lightning strike... - - - - -

- - - - - But that didn't stop him from adapting and helping Jewel the further along she was. Both of them were ready, and it was only a matter of time until they met the newest member of their family. - - - - -
