RAIN fell from the sky and grey clouds filled the sky instantly by the time they got back home. It complimented the high rise apartment so well."Naija has anyone ever told you you're as pretty as a doll?" Giselle said as she was sitting on the couch for a casual visit. It's her first time seeing their apartment and offered to help them find a bigger one once they have the baby.
Naija almost blushed. "N-no I don't think so." She sheepishly smiled. "Can I get you anything to drink?"
Giselle shook her head. "No I think I'm okay...actually I think I'll take a light alcoholic beverage. Do you have white wine?"
Naija nodded—only because Michael brought it from a party he attended months ago. Neither of them are big fans of wine anyway.
"Stop sweet talkin' her." Michael muttered, coming out of the room in a change of clothes: hoodie and sweatpants.
Giselle waved him off. "I'm just being truthful. Your girlfriend is very pretty."
Michael scoffed. "Like I don't know that..." he sat on the opposite couch, chewing mint gum and staring at his phone while Giselle scrolled through some apartments on Naija's laptop.
She was in a great mood, solely because she feels useful for once. Its obvious Michael comes off as agitated when he's around her, but she was happy at the fact that he's allowing her to help them settle in and accommodate
"Is 4 bedrooms enough?" She asked, thanking Naija who handed her a drink.
Michael jerked his head back but kept his eyes on his phone. "How many kids you think I'm gonna have?"
She shrugged. "You never know."
He scoffed. "Alrighty."
"Can I get you anything to eat?" Naija then asked. For some reason she feels oddly generous while in the presence of Michael's mother.
