Stefan Salvatore is dead. Maxine Morana is certain of it. Death is the only thing Maxine is certain of these days.

It started with Miranda and Grayson Gilbert. Maxine brushed it off as being an anxious drunk, but the scream that came out of her mouth wasn't because of the anxiety and alcohol in her system. Maxine Morana warned Mystic Falls that Miranda and Grayson's time was about to come to an end, but no one listened except for the two creatures of the night that happened to be in the small town. After that night; everything changed in Maxine's life. It was as if death was following her. She could smell it through the school hallways, in the town, and her home. Maxine had to be insane, right? Someone laced her alcohol and everything she was expecting was just a side effect. That had to be the explanation.

Stefan Salvatore confirmed everything Maxine didn't want to be confirmed. He was dead and Maxine could feel it in her bones. The deepest part of her knew that she could sense death, but the arrival of the new student made it all too real. Maxine didn't know why Stefan was in Mystic Falls, but she wanted him, needed him to leave before the students in her school started to realize how weird she acted— how different she was. Maxine wanted her life to go back to normal, but deep in her heart, she knew that wasn't going to happen.

Maxine Morana was so screwed.

maxine is a banshee, but i changed it to where she not only can tell when death is coming, she can also tell when a person is dead.

almost all the tvd cast is problematic, i want to make it clear that i do not support any of them.
