"Kal bahut mazaa aayega na Ro bhaiya?"
"Haan Pihu!", Rohan said.
He murmured to himself, "Bus yeh kuch gadbad na kare kal. Chapar chapar karte hue kuch bata diya toh saara plan kharaab!!!
"Kya Ro bhaiya, kya kaha?"
"Ku..kuch bhi toh nahin! Maine kya kaha?", Rohan said smirking to himself.
"Chaliye ab dono bachche sone chaliye!"
"Okay Mummy!", they said in unison and smiled at each other. As they left to brush their teeth, Ishita jumped towards Purvi engulfing her in a hug.
"Purvi bhabhi! Main bahut khush hun!", she said in a teasing tone.
"Chal bus kar Ishu, teri toh main dost hee rahungi hamesha!"
"Par tujhe bhabhi bol ke ek alag hee khushi ho rahi hai mujhe!", she said and hugged him.
"Vaise, main bhi yahin hun. Mujhe hamesha ignore kyun karte ho tum dono?", Dushyant complained.
Purvi hugged him and said, "Thanks bhai, hamesha aapki support ke liye".
"Ae, bhai ko thanks karti hai?", he said hugging her back. "Aur ek baat sun le tu, teri shaadi mere ghar se hogi. Samjhi? Yeh mat soch tera maayka nahin hai. Rasmein toh tujhe saari karni hongi!"
Purvi looked up at him all emotional. "Bus, ek shabd aur nahin! Maine keh diya hai toh yeh hee hoga!", he said in a tone of finality. Purvi just nodded and hugged him again as Ishita clicked another sweet picture comprising the brother-sister duo.
Next Day, ACP Pradyuman's Mansion, 8:00 AM
Kavin came downstairs for his breakfast. Everybody was already on the table. Unusually, Pihu and Rohan were sitting at opposite ends and not even looking at each other. Both of them looked very sad. Kavin glanced at both of them, then saw Purvi. Though he looked dull himself and was clearly agitated but he calmed himself down by taking a deep breath. Walking over to the table, he sat near Pihu and said,
"Pihu bachche, sad nahin hote hain. Aaj aap Ro bhaiya ke saath kyun nahin baithe?", he feigned ignorance knowing that at this moment it is better to not show he knew what happened last night. He wanted to see her response and then answer based on what she says.
Pihu responded in a chirpy voice, "Nahin Da...!"
Rohan suddenly began coughing. Purvi rushed towards him and gave him water.
"Bachcha, kya hua. Paani pio do ghunt".
"Thank you Mu....", Purvi glared at him.
"Mera matlab..thank you Purvi aunty", he responded. Aside, he whispered to her, "Pihu ki bachchi ne fasa diya tha almost. Bus isi liye thoda drama kiya mummy", and he winked at her.
Purvi secretly smiled at him, then composed herself and went back to her seat.
"Pihu, tum idhar aao. Sahi se kha bhi nahin rahi ho", and Pihu went up to sit beside her. Kavin looked at her going away, feeling lost and forlorn.
"Pihu! Abhi surprise kharaab ho jaata. Kya kar rahi ho?", Purvi chided her in a whisper as she sat down.
"Sorry na Mumma. Mujhe excitement ho raha hai unko Dadda kehne ka!"
"Achcha theek hai. Shaam tak toh wait kar lo!", Purvi smiled.
Kavin looked relieved on finally seeing Pihu smile a little. Though he was visibly upset himself, but didn't say anything and went over to Rohan.
