"I don't know what to get her." Wynter sighed deeply, massaging her temples as they walked through the mall.

"I've never seen you this stressed out, Mau." Ivory let out a small chuckle, looking at her best friend in amusement.

Wynter stopped walking and faced Ivy. She let out a groan and had an unimpressed look on her face. "It's serious! Christmas is in a few days and I still don't have a present for her."

"Think of something she likes then. Something she mentioned wanting to buy."

Ivy's suggestion just made Wynter huff in annoyance even more. "That's the thing, V. She's rich as fuck, she obviously already bought everything she wants."

The brunette messaged her temples, mumbling incoherent words. "Fucking hell, this is giving me a bloody headache."

Ivy couldn't help but let out a chuckle at how her best friend is acting. It was a very rare sight to see the Veilleux like this.

"You're so down bad, holy hell. You weren't even like this when you and Alyssa had a thing going on!" The model couldn't help but tease Wynter, making the most out of the moment.

"Oh shut up." The brunette continued walking, leaving the now laughing Ivory behind, trying desperately to ignore her teasing remarks.

As they entered a small cafe in the mall, a familiar face absolutely shocked Ivory. She immediately tapped Wynter's arm repeatedly to gain her attention, much to the girl's annoyance.

"Ow! What?!" Wynter hissed in pain, furrowing her brows at the look on Ivy's face.

"Alyssa is here. Holy sh- your 7 o'clock, she's alone on a table." Wynter subtly turned to look at her left, eyes widening when she saw the familiar redhead sipping on her coffee.

She immediately faced Ivy again, pure shock written on both of their faces.

"We need to get out of here." She whisper-yelled, subtly pushing Ivy back to the door of the cafe.

"Shit, she's walking towards us." The two girls shared a look of panic. Alyssa noticing them was inevitable since the cafe was practically empty and small.

"Wynter?" The said girl squeezed her eyes shut in annoyance before plastering the fakest smile Ivory has ever seen on her best friend.

Wynter turned to face Alyssa, feigning her surprise perfectly. "Alyssa?"

"Oh my gosh! It is you! How have you been!" And there it was, the same voice Wynter fell in love with 3 years ago.

"Yeah, it's me." she let out a small, forced and painfully awkward chuckle. "Why're you here? I thought you were in France?"

"Oh, I came back here a month ago! I can't believe that we'll run into each other in a cafe of all places." Alyssa let out a chuckle, her green eyes closing as she does so. The same eye smile Wynter was crazy about, 3 years ago.

Alyssa invited them for a small chat at her table. Wynter reluctantly agreed, glaring at Ivy who was trying to stifle a laugh.

As they sat down, Alyssa opened multiple topics for them to talk about, trying to catch up with each other's lives. "Why're you at the mall at night? I thought malls aren't your thing?"
