Script 17: Thrown Words

Start from the beginning

"Thank you," Chaewon whispers once more. Now, her patting hand is only a ghost against Yunjin's skin.

"For?"

"For being you."

Yunjin frowned, and Chaewon knew she didn't understand, but they left it at that without explanation.

Yunjin takes it as a compliment, and Chaewon takes it as a new door opening for the both of them.

It is a new start for Chaewon, but this time, she lets Yunjin see who she truly is.

She is a girl with so many flaws and insecurities, but she knows she can trust Yunjin not to judge her or see her differently.

She was Huh Yunjin, after all.

It has been weeks since the incident in the auditorium. The president has become quieter. She refuses to give out criticisms, or at least she refuses to explain and elaborate on her comments.

That was no problem for the club, however. They liked it better that way. They'd settle for those rather than being put down by harsh and hurtful words.

At least Yunjin was there to actually give everyone proper feedback.

After the incident, Yunjin started standing out more. She started becoming more active. At least more active than the president.

It was as if she had given up her status as a president and given it to Yunjin.

No one was complaining, though. Even Kim Chaewon, who hated Huh Yunjin with her whole being, didn't complain.

She was perfectly fine with Yunjin leading. After what she has done, Chaewon's perspective of the younger girl has completely shifted.

She has completely let Yunjin inside her little world.

She was almost like a second version of Minju, but not quite. Chaewon actually couldn't pinpoint it.

But she knows that Yunjin would definitely stick around for a while.

Just like Minju.

And for the first time ever, she didn't dislike that thought.

She was very gentle, like Minju. She was very understanding, and she always wanted to hear everyone out.

But unlike Minju, whom Chaewon could easily describe in words and maybe even write about for days on end, there was something about Yunjin that Chaewon couldn't describe.

It felt shallow whenever she tried, so she'd give up and just let it go.

All she could do was say that Huh Yunjin was simply Huh Yunjin.

However, Chaewon hopes she can perfectly describe Yunjin one day. She had already accepted and figured out that Huh Yunjin was a nice person, but she knew there was something more than her being nice.

Maybe in the future, if their bond grows stronger and they become closer, she'll be able to pinpoint what Yunjin truly is like.

But now, she settles with letting Yunjin slowly fill her days. Hanging out with her and letting her talk her ear off.

There was definitely something different this time. Chaewon was sure of it.

Because, then, she hated having Yunjin around. Even the sight of her irritates Chaewon.

But now she felt nothing like that at all, and it felt light.

It felt nice having to watch Yunjin roam around with a smile, talk to everyone in her loud energetic voice, and watch her perform as if this would be her last.
