Script 17: Thrown Words

Start from the beginning

It made Yunjin feel like she did a great job. It was almost like she was proud that she was able to confront the president in front of everyone.

Seeing Chaewon sleeping peacefully has successfully made her feel at ease. Being able to take care of or just be with Chaewon right now has made her really happy. She didn't even need her phone to distract herself.

She didn't need her phone to entertain herself or make the time go faster. In fact, she wanted the moment to last forever.

She wants the world to slow down.

Yunjin can't help but think how much of a loser she was. Being happy just by being around the person she likes. She wonders if Chaewon feels the same way when she's around Minju.

Or if she had ever felt the same feeling when she was around Yunjin.

Maybe...

Yunjin hopes Chaewon does.

Yunjin started quietly humming a tune. A song that had been stuck in her head for the past few days. She hums it as quietly as she can before Chaewon suddenly stirs in her sleep.

Yunjin stopped humming, and she watched as Chaewon's eyes slowly opened.

They meet eyes, but Chaewon doesn't hold eye contact for long; she turns in the bed and blinks a few times. Yunjin just sat there, waiting for Chaewon's reaction to seeing Yunjin sitting there.

After a few seconds of silence, Chaewon slowly sat up.

"Are you... feeling okay?" Yunjin asks.

It takes Chaewon a few seconds to reply, "I'm fine. Aside from my head hurting." She mumbles, running her fingers through her hair.

The younger girl only nodded as she didn't know what else to ask Chaewon. Normally, she would be very loud and would surely ask Chaewon a ton of questions, but right now, she was quiet.

It was as if Yunjin knew that Chaewon didn't want to hear any loud noises, any loud voices, or anything. She was tired. After all, Yunjin would never disturb the silence like that.

"Where's Minju?"

Yunjin should have known that she would immediately be looking for Minju.

The younger girl bit her lower lip and exhaled through her nose. "Outside. She was here earlier."

"You switched...?"

"She looked tired."

"Aren't you?" Chaewon throws the question at her.

There was silence. Yunjin wasn't sure how to respond. She wasn't even sure if Chaewon was being genuine.

"I-..."

"You look tired, too." Chaewon mumbles, and Yunjin chuckles, "A little."

"Don't you want to go home?"

"You're the main concern here," and Chaewon looks at her with such an unreadable expression. Yunjin wasn't sure how to act anymore.

This was the very first-time Chaewon would ask her about herself. About her wellbeing...

"You're the one who got into an argument with the president," The older girl jokingly says, shrugging as Yunjin slightly smiles.

The atmosphere felt light. Chaewon's actions felt light. Her approach was gentle and friendly.

This was truly new for the younger girl, but she could get used to it.

"Well, it wasn't really an argument-" Chaewon airily laughs, "She wasn't even able to say anything."
