Am I dead..?
...
The dull pain that spread through your body quickly answered your question.
Your vision slowly cleared up, your head ringing from the impact of the fall but surprisingly, you were intact. Well mostly.
Part of you was a little disappointed
Your gaze lowered to what you had landed on when you became aware of the soft velvety touch of petals against the palms of your hands and bare legs.
Buttercup flowers? Down here?
Eh, seen weirder stuff.
With a groan, you pulled yourself to your feet.
"Fuck-"
The curse word left your lips almost involuntarily.
Great.
Your left ankle didn't look or feel too great.
Must've landed on it wrong..
No shit Sherlock. You rolled your eyes at your own inner monolog.
Not that it mattered much in your mind.
The pain of the burn marks alongside your back, hidden by the hospital gown made the bruises on your legs and pain of your twisted ankle barely noticeable.

Not dwelling on it longer then you needed, you started to make your way into ruins, plants somehow growing onto the walls despite how little light they were getting.
You walked through puzzles, pretty slowly in the state you were in but they weren't difficult, just time consuming. The writings on the walls made things pretty easy.
Why would anyone even own puzzles like that?
****
This place was weirdly serene but in the back of your mind, the feeling of eyes following your movements made goosebumps rise on your s/t skin.
You arrived to a two way staircase that lead to an entrance. Narrowing your case, you carefully made your way up the steps but halted before the entrance as you picked up the sound of humming.
No fucking way..
There's actually someone living down here
You stood, frozen at the entrance, your heartbeat dumping loudly in your ears. You couldn't tell if you were relieved or terrified of not being alone.
What am I supposed to do?
Do I-
Do I just go in?
Just introduce myself?
What the fuck am I supposed to say,
"Hi, don't mind me just dropping by-"
You resisted the urge to groan, pinching the bridge of your nose. Now really wasn't the time for puns.
A silent sigh left your lips as you ever so cautiously peeked your head into what you quickly realized was a house. A lovely one at that.
Your e/c eyes raked across the place quickly before you found the source of the humming.
Your lips parted, eyes widening as you instinctually took a step back, your nails scraping the brick wall for support.
There's no way that's real.
God, maybe the pain is getting to my head.
Cause ain't no way I just saw that.
A nervous smile stretched onto your face as you tried to pull yourself together. Taking a deep breath, you tried to remember a grounding exercise.
5 things you can see
Vines, stairs, purple walls, pillars and a pile of leaves.
4 things you can touch
Your hands relaxed slightly, feeling the brick wall under your fingers. Moving to touch a leaf and sitting down to touch the ground. You then concentrated on the fabric of the hospital gown.
3 things you can hear
Closing your eyes, you listened.
The sound of humming was still very present, it was kind of soothing now that you payed attention to it.
In the background you could also hear the sound of what you imagine is a fireplace and a clock.
Slowly but surely, your heart rate started slowing down.
2 things you can smell
The smell of the fireplace made your shoulders relax down. And you noticed the smell of.. cinnamon..?
1 thing you can taste
..metallic. Eh better then nothing.
Panic attack now avoided, you opened your eyes and got back up on your feet, ignoring the almost breath cutting pain you experienced while doing so.
Now calm and composed, you peeked in once, your lips stretching into a thin line when your eyes showed you the exact same sight as before.
Well fuck, guess my vision wasn't fucking with me after all. Or maybe it still is.
A tall, white, fluffy goat like.. furry? No that can't be right. It's too lifelike to be a fursuit.
This.. animal? Was wearing a long purple robe. Her back was facing you as she seemed to be backing something.
You were anxious, yet she seemed far from a feral animal. And you were in what you assumed to be where she lived, it would be rude not to let your presence be known.
So, gently stepping into the doorway, adrenaline rushing through your veins, you found your voice. God you hoped she spoke english.
"..I- Hi?"
