My feet hurt from walking last night

My feet hurt from walking last night. At least it was only a couple miles, enough until I found reception. Then I called an Uber and texted Gracie about everything that Blake did.

I know that I went a bit too far yesterday. I think that I need to stay away from drinking because it only causes me to do things that I regret. With all that happened yesterday, I hope everyone forgot about it. We were all mostly drunk at the party, but some people remember things better than others.

I slipped into a long, tight-fitted black dress and paired it with gold jewelry and sandals.

To me it didn't feel like a normal day, it felt different. Something felt off, it could be because I'm freaking out or something unexpected was gonna happen.

The only thing to do now is go on with my day and pretend like I didn't get stranded in the middle of anywhere last night, didn't drink, and didn't kiss Dean.

"I can't take it anymore," Mia says unexpectedly.

"Can't take what?" Sometimes I don't get Mia.

"Ace. He hasn't talked to me all day and every time we run into each other or make eye contact in the hallway he ignores me."

"Well, that is the definition of Ace for you. I mean he's never had a girlfriend before," Gracie says.

"Girlfriend? I wasn't planning on becoming his girlfriend."

"Sure you weren't, because hanging out, going to games together, staying up at night talking to him wasn't gonna mean anything," Gracie implies.

"I wasn't planning on becoming anything," she says.

"I believe you, but whenever Ace gets close to people, he's gonna try and push them away. So if you want him in your life, you're gonna have to tell him," I say.

"Yeah, I guess you're right." She said that truthfully with her voice, but her eyes were somewhere else.

I finally turned around and saw why she was so intrigued. Ace showed up, but his hair and clothes were messed up.

"He made out with someone," Mia mumbled under her breath.

"Don't assume that" I say.

"Well, I'm going to!" She gets up and walks straight over to him.

I do not understand what they were saying but to me, it didn't look good

"What's gotten into Mia," he asks.

"How clueless are you, Ace? You spend so much time talking to her and getting to know her as a person, and it looks like you have been doing something with someone else. What do you think she is thinking," I say. "Why, would you do something like that to Mia?"

I get out of the conversation before he can respond to me. I go find Mia in the hall and her cheeks are stained red from crying.

"Oh Mia don't cry over Ace," I say and pull her in for a hug.
