It was the next day and I was currently straightening up my apartment before Jacob came over.

I don't know why but I was feeling nervous. Jacob said he was bringing some snacks and asked if it was okay if he brought his dog.

I was totally okay with that knowing I loved dogs. I was lighting a candle when I heard a knock on the front door.

I inhale a deep breath while sitting the lighter down on the counter. I walk over to the door and open it, a very tall brunette on the other side.

I stepped aside so Jacob could come inside with his Golden Retriever, Layla.

She seemed very excited to be here. I couldn't help but pet and play with her.

"You have a nice place." He complimented while detaching Layla's leash from her collar.

She was busy running around and sniffing everything so I stood up.

I looked up at Jacob to see he had a smile on his face while watching his dog.

He had on a hoodie and basketball shorts so he looked pretty comfortable.
