The Last Rainfall

"It's  raining!!" Masayang saad ko ng makitang umuulan na sa labas.

"Hey sis! don't go out.. it's raining, you will get sick." Saad ni Kuya Ash.

Ash is short for Asher..

"But.. i want to go out" I said.

"No.." he said while reading a book.

I sigh and went back to my room. Maybe later kapag nakatulog na siya pwede na akong lumabas I mean lalabas ng hindi nagpapaalam, yeah I know it's a bad idea but I really love playing under the rain it felt like I went back for being a kid.. that's kinda childish but i really love rainy days.

After a few hours of waiting i went out of my room and saw kuya Ash who already asleep.

"Sleep well Kuya I just played lang outside"I said while putting a blanket on him.

Lumabas na ako pagkatapos no'n and after a few minutes I heard a car and saw Dad went out of it, holding an umbrella.

Oh my goodness!!

What the hell is this hell?!!

"What are you doing outside?.. you know that it's raining, right?" Dad asked.

"Uhm—"napatigil ako sa pagsasalita ng biglang may lumabas sa kasunod nilang kotse.

What the hell is he doing here?!!

"Daven?"I said.

"Oh,Neya"he said

"Daven is that really you? I thought next week ka pa uuwi?"

He chuckled "Yeah, it is really me.. napaaga flight ko eh may pasok na kasi next week.."

"Oh.. but what are you doing here?.."I asked.

"May business meeting kasi.. dahil wala si Dad, ako muna."He said

"Oh.. okay"

"Let's go inside.. baka magkasakit ka."saad ni Dad bago ako pinayungan.

What's the use?!!

Pagkapasok namin sa loob ng bahay ay pinagpalit niya na ako ng damit, pinagalitan niya pa ako kasi nagpapaulan na naman daw ako.

"Ano napagalitan ka noh?"pang-aasar ni kuya Ash.

"So what?"I said before I rolled my eyes.

Inasar niya pa ako ng inasar hanggang sa tawagin na kami ni Dad sa office room niya.

I don't know what's the use of being a daughter of a well known family, while I was beyond their path.

My mom was a well known fashion designer and a CEO of a famous fashion brand in the Philippines and had a lot of branches in other countries, and my dad was also a well known Architect and Owner of luxury apartments, hotels, resorts and a well known Architecture company. They are both famous in business industry.. and I was doubting about myself.

Did I really deserve to be their daughter?

Kuya Ashton and Kuya Asher was an heirs of Dad's businesses, Actually Kuya Ashton was already built his name in business industry and he was now a well known Architect and Vice President of Dad's Architecture Company while kuya Asher is also pursuing Architecture and he was now graduating in college.. while me pursuing law that beyond to their dream from me, they expecting me to be a fashion designer soon like mom but I just can't see myself pursuing that.

But they always supported me from what I want especially when they knew that I'll going to pursue law, they said that it was okay to explore and pursue what I want at least I didn't force myself from pursuing the path I didn't want.

But still..

I really felt like left alone..

It somehow felt that I'm really different from their path..

After that day Dad and Mom were going to LA for their business meeting with their investors so, kuya Ash and I were left alone in our house..

Pfft as always..

"Hindi ba uuwi si kuya Dem?.." Tanong ko kay Kuya Ash nang nakaalis na si Dad.

"Hindi pa.. sa Saturday pa daw siya ng gabi uuwi eh.."sabi niya naman, as usual nagbabasa na naman.

Mahilig kasi siyang magbasa actually mas masipag pa siya magbasa kesa sakin eh..

I'm taking law but he's more interested in reading books..

Pfft..

"Wala kang readings ngayon?"biglang tanong ni Kuya Ash.

"Meron kaso tinatamad pa ako.. kaya mamaya na lang.."I said while scrolling through my phone.

"Lazy bitch" he whispered.

Kala mo naman di ko maririnig!!

"I heard that bitch.."I said and rolled my eyes.

"Yeah.. you had your ears though.."he said, still reading a book.

"Corny.."

"It's not a joke.."

"Then what?.."

"I'm just saying that you had ears so you heard what I'm saying.."

"Whatever.."

"Sungit."

"Talaga ba?.. fuck you!!"

"Anong sabi mo?!!"

"I said fuck you!!"

"Sino yun?"biglang sabi ng kung sino sa likod ko.

Is that kuya Dem?!!

"K–kuya.."I nervously said.

"Ikaw ba yun?"he asked.

"Uhm.."

"Again.. ikaw ba yun?"sabi niya at naglakad papunta sa harap ko.

"K–kuya—"hindi ko natuloy ang sasabihin ko dahil bigla na lang nagsalita si Kuya Ash.

Epal..

"Oo siya yun.."

See? epal talaga..

"Don't say that again.. mamaya marinig ka nila Dad.."malumanay na sabi ni Kuya Dem

"P–pero wala naman sila dito eh.."I said, still nervous.

Nakakatakot naman kasi!!

"yeah I forgot.."he said.

"Kuya—"magsasalita pa lang sana ako nang bigla na naman nagsalita si Kuya Ash.

Hysst!!

"I thought Saturday night pa uwi mo.."Kuya Ash.

Papansin talaga!!

"Akala ko din eh"He said and shrugged.

"Lagot ka.."bulong sakin ni Kuya Ash.

He's being playful again..

"Don't be nervous Neya.. "biglang sabi ni Kuya Dem at tinapik ang balikat ko.

Bat ka kasi galit?

"Hindi ako galit, okay?.. I just don't want to hear curses.. especially to you."he said.

Nababasa niya ba iniisip ko?!!

Nakakatakot ka naman kasi!!

"okay.."I just said, baka magwala ka pa eh mahirap na!!..

"Don't said that again..hmm?"malumanay na sabi niya.

Tinitigan niya pa si Kuya Ash na parang nakikipag-usap siya dito gamit ang kanyang mga mata.

Kuya Ash sighed and said"okay.."

Weird..

Nang maka-akyat si Kuya Dem sa kwarto niya ay pumasok na din ako sa kwarto ko.
