It was a day before reputation's release and Dylan still hadn't heard the album. Taylor and Dylan had flown back to New York for the Rep Album Release party. All of Taylor and Dylan's friends were going to be there, as well as other celebrities.

So here was Dylan sitting on Taylor's couch waiting for her to get ready. Dylan was honestly quite pissed at Taylor at the moment. The blonde had been acting strangely ever since they landed in New York 2 days ago.

Dylan couldn't explain how Taylor was acting differently, but she knew there was something going on.

She turned on the tv to pass the time, but it was no use. The two had to leave in around 20 minutes, but Taylor was still getting her makeup done by her team.

Dylan took out her phone and texted James,

Dylan:
hi
i'm bored wyd

James:
hey
i'm just hanging out with some friends
wyd tonight

Dylan:
Taylor's album release party
she's still getting ready
so i'm bored

James:
have you spoken to dad
recently?

Dylan:
no
why
have you?

James:
he was here yesterday
my mums forgiven him

Dylan:
sorry
what

James:
that's what i said
i haven't really spoken to him since he's been here

Dylan:
what he's still there??

James:
yeah

Dylan:
i'm gonna kill him

James:
no
don't
my mum is actually happy
and he swore he's been clean
for a while now

Dylan:
yeah he says that everytime he fucks up
as soon as i'm home im coming over

James:
when are you coming home

Dylan:
in a few weeks probably sooner
why
do you miss me?

James:
no
ew

Dylan:
i'm just kidding
i'll text you tomorrow okay
but if anything happens
call me right away okay?

James:
okay

And just like clockwork, Taylor walked into the livingroom wearing the most amazing silver dress,

"Woah," Dylan said in awe

"Do you like it?"

"I love it, you look breathtaking love,"

"Thanks Dyl," Taylor smiled before placing a kiss on Dylan's lips, "Are you ready to leave?"

"Yep, am I gonna get to hear the album at the party at all or—"

"—All in good time Dylan," Taylor teased

"Yeah, you've been saying that for months," Dylan huffed before grabbing her phone from the couch and making her way over to the counter to grab her keys
