Even though being seen as an outcast that doesn't belong anywhere Kitayuu passes the entrance exam and manages to get accepted to an academy in Tyvet where warriors are made. Kitayuu however was different from the others... Unlike the normal person he was able to use all 7 elements present throughout Teyvat but the Irony was he was the weakest in the academy. Part of this is due to the amount of strain his body is put under leading him to limit his output of power. It also didn't help that he was also unable to control this as sometimes it could lead to mass destruction. He is about to walk to the premises of the academy when suddenly he is grabbed from the shoulder and pulled back by another student that says "get lost loser, this place isn't meant for failures like you." As he walks past. "Tsk" Kitayuu said under his breath "and who are you to tell me that?"

"Let me put it this way" the boy says "I am the son of the one and only electro archon, those who are below me like anyone else here may call me Raiden." He gives an arrogant smirk "You Kitayuu... are just wasted potential. If I were born with your power I would've already been able to earn the title of The Strongest, but what a shame... I guess the gods felt a bit of pity for your weak ass and gave you your powers as a way of compensation." Raiden walks away leaving Kitayuu furious but he doesn't act up as he knows he stands no chance against him.
Shortly after a training session a boy runs up to Kitayuu. "Hey is it true that you can really wield all seven elements. If so it must be really cool." Kitayuu hesitates before giving an answer. "W-well actually it's not really as it is difficult to control and my body can't handle much of it..." He puts his head down embarrassed. "But I will improve and become The Strongest!" The boy smiles and offers a handshake. "Names Bennet and I'm going to look forward to training and improving alongside you" Kitayuu shakes his hand. "I'm a pyro user which allows me to have great destruction capabilities but a downside is that energy drains quickly" Kitayuu is left stunned not being able to believe that someone was willing to be friends with him. "Great" he says "Let's push ourselves starting from today!"

After a long day in the academy everyone is each assigned a dormitory. Each one can hold 2 people having everything needed inside including ingredients that are delivered each week that can be used to prepare meals. Bennet and Kitayuu immediately tag along to head to the same dormitory. Whilst everyone else finds someone to tag along with Raiden is left alone as everyone was not willing to go near him due to his aggressive nature. Kitayuu went to sleep that night with a boost in motivation to become stronger. "Everyone who doubted me." He said to himself. "I will show you all."
