My boy. My baby boy is gone. I held the cold hand of my only son, I hated I had to plan his funeral so early into life.

The journal I held, dateless until his final day had everything that I never saw. He was suffering and I didn't know.

"We raised a fine boy, Julia. I'm sure theres things we didn't know that caused him to do that. I'm also sure you were his last thought."

"Couldn't I have done better as a mother to prevent this?"

"No Julia, this was bound to happen. The universe set it in stone from day 1."

I wiped my eyes and set Sean's journal in his casket with him before closing it. I'm sorry Sean, I should've been a better mother. I continued wiping my eyes as they lowered him into his grave, but as I looked up I saw him standing behind his tombstone.

"Hi mommy."
