Chapter 27 The Hypnotic Purr Of Allura

We walked back towards the town and saw a huge star above the town the Auroricorns looked to be in a trance with huge smiles on there faces has the gathered in the centre of the town "Uh, what are they doing?" asked Zipp "Well, they're certainly not sleeping. That's for sure" answered Pipp "I guess they wanted to keep having fun without us? But why?! We're a super-duper good time!" said Izzy "Let's go take a closer look" I said 

we enter town saw that  the Auroricorns were all using there magic to create the star they all held small crystal ice we then tried to talk to Comet "Comet! Comet? Can you hear me? What's going on?" asked Sunny but he completely ignored  her has if he didn't even hear her Izzy then ran in front of him and made some silly faces but Comet made no reaction and kept in his trance state "Huh. Even my Izzy boinks and bonks didn't snap him out of it. That usually works" said Izzy "What do you think he's doing?" asked Zipp "I'm not sure, but he's definitely acting odd" said Pipp " I lived with Izzy and a pony called Pinkie Pie so Uh, I know odd. This was even odder than that. Which I normally love. But not this time!" I said "Do you think this is why they wanted us to leave?" Hitch asked me "Yeah, not so sure this fits into their fun Starshine Time" added Zipp "Then why do they all look so... happy?" said Sunny "There's Violet Frost. Should we go talk to her?" said Misty spotting her at the centre "Wait!" I said we then saw a huge flying Snow Leopard with a crystal like statue next to her  it sent at a sonic like purr which seemed to control Violet "Oh, my hoofness! Who is that?!" said Pipp a bit scared "I have no idea, but I think we can all agree that she does not look friendly" said Hitch I nodded "Uh, neither does he!" saw Sunny pointing to a small rabbit on the leopards back I knew something was off about this place!" said Zipp "It not there fault They're clearly in trouble. Maybe if we get closer to Violet Frost, we can hear what they're saying" I said we crept closer and started to over heard then conversion the Leopard continued to purr "Let... go... of me... Allura! Ugh!" said Violet "Don't try to fight it, Violet Frost. Find me the star that I desire" said Allura the rabbit Twitch laughed Violet then entranced said "Yes, Allura" "Don't forget to smile. And have fun" said Allura "What do we do?" asked Misty "Clearly, this Allura has got all the Auroricorns under a spell" I said "We have to snap them out of it!" said Sunny "Maybe if we can get Violet Frost and Comet far away from Allura, we can get them out of the trance" said Sunny she ran in front of Violet and tried to stop her  "Violet Frost, stop! Violet, no! Ah! Ugh!" she said but Violet just walked past her We all tired to stop her but she just pushed past us Pipp and Zipp tried to stop Comet but he seemed to doge them Hitch and Misty grabbed hold of Violets back hoof but that didn't stop her "Wow, they are being really difficult!" said Misty has they let go "And happily!" said Hitch Pipp then flew in front of Violet "You do not want to go that way!" she cried Sunny tied to push her back but Violet pushed past her "Oof! We need to be organized. Let's link up!" I said we formed a line in front of Comet and Violet then together pushed them away from the Town the trance spell the broke "Huh?" question Comet "Sunny?" said Violet confused "What are you all doing here?" asked Comet "Hah! It worked! Finally! Hurry, over here!" said Sunny "I guess you discovered our secret" said Violet "Violet, what's going on? You can tell us" said Zipp "Yeah, we just wanna help" I said "It's okay. We're friends" said Sunny "We didn't wanna tell you because we didn't wanna risk you all getting hurt, too" confessed Violet "Violet, who is that? What does she want?" I asked "That's Allura. She's an evil tyrant that showed up one day with her little sidekick Twitch. She completely took over Starlight Ridge by force" said Violet "By force?" questioned Sunny Yeah. Allura claimed the most important thing in our town – a special relic called the Nova Charm" said Comet "That must be what we saw earlier. It was so sparkly" said Pipp "The sparkliest! It's a special charm that our town has possessed for thousands of moons. Town law says that whoever holds the power of the charm rules Starlight Ridge. Allura managed to steal it and possess it, so she's the leader" said Violet  "Aw, this is no fun at all! Allura sounds like a real bully! You should stand up to her" said Izzy "I wish we could, but she's very powerful" said Comet "And persuasive. She's able to get us to do whatever she wants just by talking" said Violet "If we try to stand up to her, she could destroy our whole village without us even realizing it. That's how much her powers can trick our minds. It's no use" said Comet "But what does she want?" asked Sunny "Allura forces us...to use our magic to make the aurora flares" said Violet "Then she makes us steal the stars out of them" said Comet "She believes that one of the stars in the sky is special and contains the magic to open a portal that will lead her to another realm" "She wants to control more than just Starlight Ridge" said Violet "And until she finds the right one, she's making us steal them all" said Comet  "I can't believe that anypony would be so cruel. Plus, the stars are stunning. That bully does not deserve any of them!" said Pipp "Maybe we need to get everypony away from Allura?" said Hitch "You could all come back to Equestria with us!" said Izzy "If we figure out how to get back, that is" said Misty "That's a great idea!" said Comet "We can't just leave our home like that! Starlight Ridge is special!" said Violet "But what else can we do, Violet Frost? We have to get the Auroricorns away from Allura!" said Comet Comet then made his way back to the town "Comet, wait!" cried Sunny as soon as Comet made it back to town he was caught in a trance again "Comet, there you are" said Allura "Oh, no!" we said "Almost got lost in the woods, did you?" questioned Allura "Happy to be back, Allura" said Comet "That's right. We need that happiness alive and well. Now go. Join the others" she said Twitch sniffed the air  "Hmm..." he went "What are we going to do?" asked Misty "There's no way we can get everypony away from Allura long enough to remove the trance" said Zipp "There has to be another way. There has to be!" said Violet "Well, if whoever has the Nova Charm is in charge of Starlight Ridge, then there's only one thing to do" I said "We're getting that charm back!" said Violet Allura flew around the town we hide waiting for the chance to take the relic "Wait for it..." said Violet we edged closer  Allura then turned around back towards us "Hide!" cried Pipp we hide behind the ice statues we had back earlier we ran into the hall after Allura had past us  "There's got to be a way to stop her" said Sunny "Well, everypony has a weakness"" said Violet "Exactly! We just need to figure out hers. What does Allura care about?" I asked "The portal, the stars, the aurora flares..." said Violet "Is this why you were being so strange about the aurora flares earlier? Because of Allura?" asked Zipp "Yeah. Sorry about that. But when we're happy and having a great time, the aurora flares blast across the sky. We can't help it. Allura uses her powers to trick us into feeling happy. She forces us to make the flares against our will" said Violet "That's horrible" said Hitch  "Normally, I'm all about being happy. But being tricked into it does not sound right" said Izzy  "That's why whenever she leaves, we celebrate Starshine Time. A time when we make the flares happen by choice. Our real happiness" went Violet "Everypony deserves to be happy" I said "Mm-hmm! Real happy!" agreed Izzy "Why does Allura want to do such bad things? Has she always been this way?" asked Misty "All I know is that Allura's determined to find that other realm by any means possible. And she has the Nova Charm, so she's in charge" said Violet "Then we're just going to have to find a way to make Allura give it back" I announced the rest hummed in response "We've tried to steal it from her, but it's impossible!" said Violet "Then it's time to get creative!" I said "Did somepony say "creative"? That's, uh, kinda my thing!" giggled Izzy
