Amy slips her feet into golden and sparkly stilettos. Grace puts on black strappy sandal like high-heels. Amy hands me a pair of black stilettos and I slip my feet in.

There's a knock on the door.

"Can I have my room back?" Adam asks through the door.

"It's all yours honey." Amy says as she opens the door.

Adam steps back and we walk out.

"Holy crap! You guys look... Wow. You better keep your rings on." Adam warns Amy as he points at her wedding rings.

"Don't worry babe. I will." She gives his lips a gentle kiss.

We say bye and then head down and out. I'm excited. I went out to bars with my friends in the UK, but it wasn't hard to look eighteen as I'm only two years away. Twenty-one. Well that's a bigger jump...

"I'm gonna keep Mega company in the back." Grace says, climbing in next to me.

"Oh right. Fine." Amy says, mock hurt in her voice.

I buckle my belt and Grace wraps her arm around me.

"I missed you."

"I missed you too."

I rest my head against her shoulder.

We pull up outside a posh looking restaurant. We walk in together and are quickly shown to a table.

"What drinks can I get you ladies tonight?" A gorgeous Italian waiter asks.

"A bottle of champagne, please." Amy smiles. "And also a coke."

The waiter nods, shoots Grace a smile and then goes to get our drinks. It's quick service.

Grace pops open the champagne and pours it out into our flutes. Giving Amy less as she's pregnant.

"To Megan." Amy says rising her half full glass.

"Welcome to New York Megan." Grace grins.

We chink our glasses.

The meal was delicious, though I have no idea what was in my pasta. The Menu was in French. It was just like having a meal with my friends. It didn't feel like I was out with twenty eight year olds. I'm pretty sure they felt the same.

"Okay people. Bar time." Grace grins.

We leave the restaurant and get back into the car.

We park in a parking lot surrounded by bars. I follow Grace and Amy. My heart starts to pound. They're gonna ID me. Crap. Crap.

We just... Walked in. No ID. Nothing.

I shoot a glance at Grace who grins madly at me. We walk up to the bar together and order cocktails each. We stay sitting at the bar chatting.

"Hot boy checking you out at two O'clock." Amy nudges me.

I look over. There is a guy stood with who I assume are his friends. He is incredibly handsome. He has black curly hair. He's in jeans and white top. His arms...

I meet his eyes. Emerald green.

He shoots me a smile which I automatically return.

He turns back to his friends and I turn to Amy and Grace.

"If I wasn't married..." Amy mummers.

I laugh.

"Well I'm not." Grace grins mischievously.

"No. He's mine. Dips." I say.

We laugh.

"So when do you think Tom will propose?" I ask Grace.

"No idea. I hope soon though."

"Can I be your maid of honour?" Amy asks.

"Of course."

Bon Jovi starts playing through the speakers.

"Ooo let's go dance!" Amy says getting up.

"Coming?" Grace asks.

"I'll finish my drink then join you." I smile.

She nods and goes to join Amy on the dance floor. I take another sip of my cocktail.

"Hi." Says a deep, yet soft voice.

I turn. It's him.

"Hi." I smile.

"Do you mind if I sit here?"

"Of course I don't."

He sits up in Grace's previous seat.

"I'm Oliver." He introduces himself.

"Megan."

"Beautiful name for a beautiful girl."

Right after he says that he bursts out laughing. I join in.

"That really sounded lame didn't it?" He laughs.

"Yeah."

"I'm not good at the whole chat up lines." He confesses.

"Well, you started of okay. The hi worked."

He laughs and smiles, revealing two rows of pearly white teeth.

"You're not from around here are you?" He asks.

"No I'm not. My accent gave it away right?"

"Yeah. So your from Engalnd?"

"Born and raised."

"So what brings you to New York?"

"A pregnant sister. And I want to see the city. Look for an adventure. How long have you been in the city?"

"Since birth."

We sit at the bar chatting for about fifteen minutes. It's nice. He's a sweet guy, funny too.

"I should go..." He sighs.

"How come?" I ask, a bit too tipsy to hide my disappointment.

"My friends are signalling me over."

"Oh. Well it was nice talking to you."

"Yeah it was. I hope to see you around."

He stands up and leans over. He places a kiss on my cheek.

"You look amazing by the way." He whispers in my ear.

Then just like that he walks away. My heart races and my neck tingles from his breath on my skin. I've never felt like that when somebody has been that close to me before... Mind you, I've never come into contact with somebody so handsome. So perfect.

I finish my drink and then go to join Amy and Grace on the dance-floor.

The rest of the night is full of shots and giggles.
