Script 14: Slowly breaking

"I can only ice skate, okay?!" He would shout back defensively.

"Look at these losers, get out of there and let us play!" Ryujin butts in, confidently walking as she pushes past both Sunghoon and Sieun. She beckons for Yujin and Minjeong to come over so that the three of them would be a team.

Yujin was more than happy to play as she jogged towards Ryujin with a smile on her face.

"Minjeong, come here!" Ryujin calls out but the girl only shakes her head, a small smile on her lips. She would have stayed quietly on the side if it hadn't been for her girlfriend, Jimin, pushing her towards her friends to play.

All of her friends cheered as she stood beside them. Both Sunghoon and Sieun finally stepped out and sat next to Chaewon.

"This is tiring..." Soobin mumbles and they all stare at him in disbelief. He was the one who found the ball and yet he's already tired.

Sunghoon pushed him gently by the shoulder, chuckling as he spoke, "This was your idea!"

"Yeah, but I didn't think I'd be moving around a lot."

"Don't you want to play, Chae?" Sieun asks.

Chaewon hummed before slowly shaking her head, "Maybe later? They look scary to play with," she said as everyone turned towards Ryujin who was now playing against Sumin's team.

"Look at Wony. Ever since Yujin joined, she started putting in more effort." Soobin points out as they watch Wonyoung suddenly becoming serious about the game, she isn't even laughing anymore like she did earlier.

Ahn Yujin's effect on her was really incredible.

And her friends found it very amusing.

"Let's go Wonyoung-ah!" Sunghoon shouts, obviously teasing the younger girl. They all laughed when Wonyoung turned to them and scrunched up her nose. Normally, she would have just easily flipped them off.

But Ahn Yujin was there and Wonyoung was putting her best front for her.

Sakura was on the other side with Kazuha, they've been together ever since Chaewon saw Kazuha run into Sakura earlier.

She wonders if something is up.

Sakura would occasionally join in on the cheering and the screaming while Kazuha would just laugh beside her. The younger Japanese girl looked like she wasn't in the mood but she'd perfectly mask it by smiling and laughing.

Chaewon would catch them talking seriously occasionally as if they were talking about a very serious topic.

She was curious. She wanted to know what was going on.

Not only was her friend, Sakura, involved, but it was making her very curious because it was Kazuha, too.

Huh Yunjin's best friend. It was interesting to see Sakura being the one by her side when Kazuha already has Yunjin. It just got Chaewon thinking.

And the fact that Yunjin wasn't there then makes Chaewon think that something probably happened.

Loud cheers and laughter from everyone broke Chaewon's train of thought. She turns to look at everyone playing and suddenly they look like they are playing for the nationals.

It's like a championship of some sort. And yet, despite everyone becoming serious and all of the others cheering and laughing, Ryujin and Yujin still managed to keep their silly little grins.

Minjeong was laughing too much from hearing Jimin screaming at the top of her lungs, "Go get them, babe! I didn't raise you to lose to Bae Sumin!!"

"We are so not friends after this, Yu Jimin!!" Sumin screams back before barely missing the ball that Minjeong hit.
