Script 14: Slowly breaking

Huh Yunjin was just too powerful.

"Fuck. I think I said too much."

"You sure did." Jongseong returns with his plate full of food this time. Sunghoon just squints at him as he takes a seat beside Chaewon.

Wonyoung rolls her eyes when Jongseong smiles at her.

"You think? Now a random dude knows your secret!" Wonyoung scoffs and Jongseong calls her out, "I'm not a random dude! I'm part of this club, too!"

"Barely." Sunghoon whispers and Chaewon snickers.

Jongseong could only grumble as he stabbed his food with a fork. The three friends were all out to get him.

"But the things you said. Those are true, right?" He suddenly asks the short-haired girl.

Sunghoon and Wonyoung stare at Chaewon in anticipation. They were curious if Chaewon was willing to admit to Jongseong that she was indeed in love with Kim Minju.

If that was what he was pertaining to...

Chaewon sighs, she has already told Jongseong a lot. Denying everything and blaming the alcohol wouldn't save her now.

"Just keep it a secret," she turns to him and looks him dead in the eyes, pleading, "I trust you."

Jongseong lost his smug look and his expression softened, "Hey, I may be a menace sometimes but you can trust me. I would never tell anyone." He spoke so softly that even Wonyoung and Sunghoon were surprised.

They didn't know Jongseong would have this side to him. All along they thought Jongseong only had this jock personality, all smug and confident.

"I promise." He added and that was enough for all of them to know that he wasn't so bad after all.

Chaewon smiles and mumbles a soft "thanks" before continuing to eat.

The vibe around them became light after that.

It was around 2 in the afternoon when everyone decided to do something to cure their boredom. Soobin found a random ball somewhere and they all thought it would be a good idea to play in the sand.

The resort already had a volleyball net up, all they needed were players and that was no problem. There were a lot of them already.

Chaewon found herself sitting on the side as she watched her friends play together. Sieun, Sunghoon, and Soobin were teamed up together while Wonyoung, Sumin, and Heeseung played against them.

Since they were just playing for fun, they didn't think they needed six players on each team to be able to play. They can take turns anyway or they can just suddenly join in the middle of the match.

Isa was screaming on the side every time Sumin hit the ball, Sieun was so serious about the game that she never let the other girl score. Wonyoung was just laughing her ass off as Sumin failed to score for the nth time.

"You two aren't helping!!" Sumin whines as Heeseung shrugs with a shit-eating grin on. Wonyoung didn't care, she was having a ton of fun by just walking around, waiting for the ball to land on her.

"Come on, play properly!" Sunghoon pointed at them and Heeseung pointed back at him, "You're not even playing properly either, you're just letting Soobin and Sieun do all the work for you!"

Everyone laughed as Sunghoon smiled sheepishly at Heeseung's words. "Then let's let Sunghoon serve." Soobin suddenly pulls him by his shirt before handing him the ball.

Sieun laughed loudly when Sunghoon sent the ball flying, way past Wonyoung and the others.

"Jesus, Hoon, you suck at this!" She shouts as Wonyoung and Sumin run after the ball.
