Chapter 5: The Bell rings for The Gods to Obey

"Here you go, have a boyfriend!" Nelly said as she then dropped Bell. Scaring everyone as Laurier tried to catch him. Though, even for the new member of the Familia with Falna and having trained her body in the dungeon, she was still a child and lacked experience in such things.

Bell however, had experiences before with situations far crazier than this. His grandma's teachings helped him adjust his body. Plus the fact he was oddly used to being held in weird ways. He remembered once before his grandma came into his life, his grandpa had to grab him when he was on the run from women he peeked on.

Being tied and dragged on the back of a mule was oddly a once a month habit for a while in his life. And he was even used as a battering ram to get inside the house. Though, that only made the women angrier and the village doctor confused as to what he even was.

He felt the elf girl try to catch him, but could tell she wasn't use to something suddenly dropping in her arms. Bell saw she was leaning too much and she was almost lying over his stomach as he brought his arm behind him.

Once feeling his finger tips touching the ground, he grabbed the girl and dragged her body over his and rolled. Cupping the back of her head and neck as they rolled until he was on top of her.

Blinking and wincing from the pain, he cracked his eyes and saw the girl underneath him. Taking in her looks and how her deep blue eyes were looking into his red eyes. Her hair sprawled on the floor, but her hair braids were in front and framed on her face.

'Grandpa! I blame you and your weird stories about elf girls! And those books and magazines you tried to read to me! I can't let granny find out about this or she'll probably take me back home!' Bell thought in a panic as he noticed the girl's face flushing with red.

Instantly Bell got off of her as he watched her sit back up slowly. Though he was becoming quite red as he saw her cute ears twitching and combing her hair behind them.

"E-Erm...sorry! A-about grabbing you like that. I-I heard elves don't like being touched, but I didn't want you to get hurt!" Bell said, bowing before the girl as she waved her hands and wand and shook her head repeatedly.

"N-No it's fine! A-And thank you for being considerate about my fall. T-Though not all elves are like that. B-But thank you anyways for my mistake!" Laurier said as she was bowing at Bell.

"Awww~ Getting lovey dovey after you first meet!"

"Ow! Come on Louie!"

"Do you want Lord Hermes to report this to Lady Hera?" Louie said as Nelly was scared to stiffness as she shook in place.

"N-No...I'm good. Ermm...*AHEM* Sorry about that..."

"Bell Cranel."

"Bell then! I wanted to get our newest member, Laurier Swall, out of her work mindset. She's new and doesn't get out much. And hasn't made much friends outside our familia-"

"M-Miss Nelly!" Laurier exclaimed as she covered her face and became embarrassed.

"So I figured why not surprise her and hand her you. Get you two settled to the idea of a new face and friend here. Take care of her from now on, okay Bell?" Nelly said as both children looked at each other and blushed. Looking away, thought couldn't help but smile bashfully and sneak a glance at the other.

"W-Well...erm...making friends...would be nice yeah. I-I'm Bell Cranel. Nice to meet you, L-Laurier." Bell awkwardly said. Extending his hand out to Laurier as she blushed and dazed.

"A-Ah! Y-Yeah. I hope, to get alone with you Bell!" She said, snapping out of her stupor as she quickly shook his hand as Nelly grabbed them by the scuffs of their necks before carrying them underneath her arms as she turned to face the Guild's doors.
