And her performances from the past were very telling. Chaewon would be lying if she said she wasn't impressed.

Yunjin whispers the lyrics and she sighs at the end and Chaewon listens carefully.

She was still staring at the back of Yunjin's head, unmoving as she didn't want Yunjin to look back and see that she was finally awake. By this time Chaewon had already figured out what song Yunjin was humming and silently singing along to.

It was a song that Hanni would hum and sing every break during rehearsals. Chaewon wouldn't be surprised that Yunjin started singing it because of the younger girl. They have been hanging out more often after all.

If Chaewon remembers correctly, it was a song by Sarah Kang. Once in a moon was it?

Yunjin sings the lyrics, "And someday after a year or two, maybe then I won't be loving you."

It was calming.

Yunjin's voice truly is comforting. But she sang it sadly, she sounded so defeated as if she had lost.

She kept humming the song and Chaewon wondered what was there for Huh Yunjin to be sad about.

What is there for her to sing in such a way?

Chaewon stays there in her spot, never looking away and never moving. She stays still and listens. Waiting.

Maybe, somewhere in between Yunjin's humming, she'll hear the reason why she sings the way she does.

But she doesn't.

Because Yunjin only hums and sings with her emotions.

She only acts with it but never outright reveals it.

Chaewon contemplates moving and falling back asleep but soon she stands up and Yunjin finally notices that she's awake.

Their dynamic never changed. At least, that's what the people around them would say. They stopped arguing, Chaewon stopped trying to pick fights with Yunjin, and Yunjin stopped getting in Chaewon's way.

But they were never friendly. They just became ... quiet. Co-existing.

Them being at each other's houses may have been one of the reasons for it. But it was most likely because of Yunjin.

As they pack up after finishing the last day of rehearsals, Yunjin takes a break and sits on one of the seats in the auditorium, facing the stage as she lets everything sink in.

After their short celebration of the football team, they'll finally be competing with ACE Academy. It was something that Yunjin was dreading to happen... she was already nervous even if they still had a few more weeks left for it.

Soobin sighs as he occupies the seat beside Yunjin. The redhead didn't even bother looking at him, she already knew it was him anyway.

A few moments later, Sunghoon occupies the other seat on the other side beside Yunjin.

"How's it going?" Sunghoon asks and Yunjin smiles. "No more rehearsals, I'm feeling alright."

Soobin chuckles beside her, "One less responsibility off your plate?"

Yunjin nods, "Not yet but yes, I have to wait until this is all over for me to say that, though." Sunghoon and Soobin chuckle beside her as a grin makes its way to her lips.

She actually can't believe that she survived almost a whole month juggling theater rehearsals, basketball training, and band practice. She didn't think she was this strong.
